What do you have to hit in order to start entering the code? VW and Audi are part of the same conglomerate (like Chevy and Pontiac are both part of GM), and in the Audi cars, you have to hit two buttons simultaneously so that you can then enter the code, and then hit those two buttons again to tell the head unit that you're done putting in the code and for it to accept what you've entered. If you have to push a button or buttons before you enter the code, hit the same button(s) afterward and see if that helps.
