Your magenta cartridge is defective. Any chance you are using a remanufactured or refilled cartridge? If so, take it back and get them to replace it.

I've already had the company replace it once. I've requested another cartridge, but what are some other options if that is not the case? I cant image that 2 cartridges in a row are misbehaving the exact same way.

If the are remans from China then the chances of getting 2,3 or 4 bad ones are very good. The company I work for ordered an entire container of remans from China and the entire container was useless, absolute garbage. It is possible that the drum contact on the printer is not connecting properly. Is the toner solid on the belt or random? The contacts are on the left side of the cartridge cavity. Compare the contacts on one of the other cartridge bays to the magenta bay to see if they look the same.

Refurbished Magenta cartridge, others okay, receiving 10.0002 supply error. Can I fix this without going to the much more expensive HP toner cartridges?

The error is caused by the small micro chip on the magenta toner cartridge. You may be able to purchase a chip from a toner cartridge remanufacturer but I would return the cartridge to where you bought it and tell them it is faulty and have it replaced.
Otherwise purchase another toner cartridge.

Excess cyan toner is on electrostatic transfer sheet even after wiping it. All black and white pages are printed with cyan background.I am even using original cartridges.

Since you have Cyan toner in places where it should not be then the only possible cause is a defective Cyan Toner cartridge. I worked on one just last week where the customer complained about Magenta toner on their prints. I also noticed Magenta toner on the Transfer Belt just as you see Cyan toner on the Transfer Belt. I replaced the Magenta Toner Cartridge and everything cleared up nicely. The Transfer Belt Unit can also cause similar problems but it would not be ONLY one color like Cyan. It would be a mixture of all colors. My bet is replace the Cyan toner and you will be fine. If you have an old empty one just shake it up a bit and try it as well. This might allow you to verify before buying a new cartridge.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

The magenta toner cartridge is probably defective. If you take the cartridge out and open the flap and see magenta toner all of the drum then it needs to be replaced.

Hi Everytning I print has a very narrow pink line straight down the centre of the page, also every so often the print has a black/yellow/blue/pink thick line running across the page. Thanks

The narrow pink line is coming from your magenta toner/drum cartridge. You may be able to open the from cover and look at the 4 toners. If you look at the magenta (like pink) cartridge, you might see the thin line on the drum surface.
The multicolored band that sometimes shows up on your prints is most likely the transfer belt unit. This is caused by an area of the belt that is not being cleaned very well. This probably tends to show up when you are running mutilple prints of a page.
So it looks like to may need to replace your magenta toner and look at getting a transfer belt unit.

I have a HP color laserjet 4650dn that when you print a document, there are pink spots all throughout the document. Is this due to replacing the fuser or transfer bar? There are no warning indications on...

It depends on the true color of the spots. If what you describe as pink are actually Magenta colored spots then I would suspect the Magenta toner/drum cartridge. It is definately not the fuser. The transfer bar or actually transfer belt unit in this case is doubtful to be the cause. A defect in the tranfer belt unit does not normally show up as 1 color. It is usally multiple colors. I would open the front cover and at least visually inspect the Magenta toner cartridge. If you have a spare unit, even an old one to swap it out with even better. Look at the color of the Magenta toner and compare it to the spots you are seeing. If they are similar then in my opinion the problem is in the Magenta drum unit.

Color ink on transfer belt

I posted the problem on 4/6/09 about my HP Laserjet 2600n with the black line from top to bottom on all pages. The issues ended up being with one of the toner cartridges. I replaced them all - and the line went away! I will need to go back now and find out which one it was, and then I'll toss that one, and I will keep / reuse the others.

Every page covered in magenta and black won't print across the page

This is caused by toner contamination in the laser scanner unit, it is quite a complex job removing and cleaning the laser scanner. I would suggest you contact HP regarding the repair.
