Unplug the printer.
Without power to the printer, the printhead should be able to move.
Manually move the printhead with you hand.

Yes it should however it is stuck tight where I cannot get a good grip on it to move it back to the center. Sad - it has never printed a page and I cannot even get the ink cartridges out - guess I will see if I can find a local store that will work on it. I bought it on sale through the mail, put it away until I used up all the ink cartridges on my old printer. By the time I unboxed it and wanted to use it it was beyond the warranty. Thanks for trying

PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT

To solve this problem you need a Cleaning Solution.
I suggest you to buy the Pristine Fluid for HP on eBay
When you'll have the fluid do this!

1. Open the printer cover
2. Remove all the ink cartridges
3. Pull the lever that locks the printhead
4. Remove the printhead
5. Take the printhead vertically with the nozzles upwards
6. place some mls of the cleaning solution directly on the nozzles
this will completely unlock the nozzles
7. Gently clean the printhead and reinsert it into the printer
8. Take brand new ink cartridges (or old ones, but only if they have 50% of ink in them)
9. pull it back the lever to lock the printhead
10. reinsert the cartridges
11. Power on the printer
12. the printer will do a double cleaning cycle and make it ready to print!

Hope the best!

LEXMARK F 4270 ERROR#1203

The 1203 error message is caused by a communication failure between one of the printheads (cartridges) and the All-In One (AIO) or by a short in one if the printheads. The procedures in this article will help you to resolve this issue:

Change print head on kodak 5300 printer

Are your asking how to replace the printhead?

First you need to turn On the printer and open the printer access door where you can see the Ink. Now wait for the Printhead to stop into the middle then remove the ink cartridges both ink and black., Now to rmove the Old printhead you need to press a Tab which is hidden on the printhead., heres the step to remove the printhead which for me the hardest part

-Point your index finger on the white sticker that attached on the printhead or the bullseye sticker(If theres no white sticker on the print head just put your index finger on the middle of the printhead)

-Now your index finger is on the middle of the white sticker right? Move your index finger upward unti you feel a latch that you can press., Just press and full then your printhead wil be removed

-Now Your ready to insert your new printhead
-To insert new printhead just put the printhead on the carriage of the printer and gently press the white sticker of your new printhead make sure that you will hear a clicking sounds then put your cartridges back

-Theres some instances that the printhead will not stay on the middle., it keeps on staying on the right or on the leftside for you to solve that heres the step

-Turn on the printer open printer access door and wait for the printhead move into the center and if the printhead its on the center immediately unplug the power cable so the printhead will not move.

Error 3515 on screen printer has red flashing light

What symbol is the light next to? Try the following:

remove the cartridges and then the printhead (Upon removing the cartridges look into the slot where the black cartridge fitted into. On the vertical wall at the back you will see two small contact points. Place your finger above those points on the black plastic and run your finger towards the top of the printhead. You will feel a little button and by pressing it , it will release the printhead.)
• Remove power
• Please now check for any objects or paper that might be obstructing the movement of the printer carriage - if any are found please remove them
• Wait 5-7 minutes
• Reinsert power
• Reinsert printhead (When inserting the Printhead please ensure that you hear it click into place)
• Then re-insert cartridges, black first then colour. Please also ensure that you hear them clip into place

Hp officejet pro k5400 will not print the mc light is blinking. I just put in new print heads this morning.

1. Printheads have an expiry date so I'd recommend checking that the printhead has not past its expiry or something similar. It's a shot in the dark but may be relevant.

2. It's also possible that the connecting strip at the back of the printheads slot is soiled with ink or condensation... Try using a cotton bud to gently clean this strip of any moisture, wipe the contact on the printhead too (NOT the printhead nozzles!) and then reinsert the printhead.

As Rowdytown points out though, pulling the power on this printer and then reinserting after a couple of minutes usually resolves any internal issues as well by hard resetting the printers state.
