If you need the AV multi-cable for the GR-DVP7, that is part number, QAM0403-001 . It is available at the JVC store: http://store.jvc.com/product.asp?Model=QAM0403-001 . You can also buy the i-Link video cable if your VCR has that feature on the site. The JVC support and links to the accessories are here: http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL026871&pathId=26&page=1&archive=true .

I hope this helps.

The A/V multi-cable has several ends since it is for all likely connections. The S/AV end goes to the camera. The yellow, red and white connectors go to the A/V in of the VCR. The USB connector is only used when you connect to a computer. There is also a QAM0541-002 if you look at all the cables:http://store.jvc.com/products.asp?Group=... .

You're welcome. I suggest you look at the manual for the connection. There is a guide pin that goes into the camera on the cable among the connectors.

Copying home made video from sony Hi8 tapes to Sony DV mini tapes

Sony DCR-HC21 has a multi-AV in, your Hi-8 should have a mini (4 band) to multi AV out. The cable would look like a stereo headphone cable on one end with thre RDA type plugs on the other end; red, white, yellow. The mulit in on the DV would probabaly be the same type connector. Youd have to use a coupler set for the two multi-av cables to bridge video to video and audio to audio. Come out of the Hi8 into the miniDV recorder. You should not need a Dazzle unless you want to transfer to a PC for editing before moving video back to a miniDV tape.

Hi, Since videos are taped in DV format, you need a firewire card (IEEE-1394) and cable. These are cheap. May be your PC already has a firewire card. Just check. Windows XP recognises automatically the camcorder. Moreover, its integrated video capture/editing module, Windows Movie Maker, is very userfriendly. USB connection is only good for downloading still images (photos) to your PC. For more information, go to http://www.videohelp.com/. good luck

JVC GR-D270U- transfering pics from tape to computer

if you are using a desktop, you require a an addon card called IEEE 1394 firewire card, which you have to install it on your motherboard's PCI slot, then using the firewire cable which you get along with the card should be connected to the card and DV port of the camera, then using the MOVIE MAKER software of windows XP, you can download the video.
