Hi,

With the description you have for your computer's BIOS, this only means dead end. Let me explain further.

First of all, let us understand what the error means.
According to Microsoft Article ID: 324103, in relation to your issue, it is a Device Driver Issue.

Knowing this information, let us then consider the specification of your computer to what it is designed for. As it is an i3 platform, it was designed for a much complex tasks for which Windows 7 should deliver.

Your computer is designed for Windows 7 64bit version only. Refer to this LINK. Logically, Windows XP 64bit can possibly be installed, but you might have difficulty finding proper/compatible drivers for the components of your computer. This results to a computer that most of its functions are disabled due to incompatibility.

Lastly, the BIOS. As you have described it, you cannot find the option of changing the type of hard drive to IDE, it is because the motherboard caters only for SATA hard drives as the BIOS was designed for what the motherboard is limited for.

I understand for a lot of reasons why we go back to Windows XP 32bit. Simply because it is a great Operating System. It also caters most of our programs that we were used to that might not be compatible with Windows 7. Windows XP 64bit, as well, does not cater to most of the programs we are used to.

I would gladly advice for you to use your computer for what it is designed for, otherwise, you may want to pick another laptop with equal specifications that still caters Windows XP.

I hope this advice works for you. Kindly reply for further assistance. Good Luck!

I want to completly remove Windows and repl, ace it with Win XP Pro

If you have a valid copy of xp pro, then just insert the disk and boot from it when asked. when you are asked about an install, choose a clean or new install and everything will be erased and you will start over. Be advised that you will need to get the lifebook drivers burned to a disk before you start.

0x0000007b error when i install win xp pleas help

0x07b means Windows can not access the boot device. This is most likely because the hard drive is on a controller that requires a driver. You can do this at install time when prompted by Windows during the beginning of the install or slipstream the driver in.

How to install genuine XP on AH530

>> LifeBook LH530(FPCM45161) 14.1 Windows 7 Professional 64-bit NoteBook :$799.99 Fujitsu

Why would you even _think_ about "downgrading" from Windows 7 to Windows XP?

Your computer was "designed for Windows 7", and for 64-bit operation.
To "cripple" it by running a 32-bit version of Windows XP would be a terrible thing to do.

Plus, many components (video, audio, wireless) in the computer *NEED* the device-drivers included in Windows 7.

Finally, Microsoft soon will "sunset" Windows XP, i.e., stop issuing security-update for it;
at that time, you will need to install Windows 7, to protect your computer from "new" threats.
