Question about Washing Machines
Fault code 234 means the motor controller module, the machine's "brain", detected that the lid lock circuit is open. Either the wire harness and connecting the lid lock and the motor controller module is cut open or the connectors are soiled or loose but it is most likely that the lid lock fails to activate.
Lift the lid and the console open and check the continuity of the connecting wire harness and connectors. Make sure the wire harness is intact and the connectors are clean, snug, and tight. Reseat the connections several times to ensure a snug fit connection. Replace the wire harness if deemed necessary or the lid lock assembly (part number 420700/420700P) if no issue is found with the wire harness and connectors.
