I have a new hp officeet pr 8500 printer but on start up the screen displays error code 0060 and then goes blank. how to fix?

This error means there's an ink leak in your printer. HP recommends that you turn the printer off (using the power switch at the back of the printer), wait 20 minutes and turn the printer on (condensation may be causing error and the printer needs time to dry).

HI, you got a mechanical error on your printer this is because it got a paper jam problem and that may result that your printhead slams. Try to look if there's something in your printer that preventing the gear inside to move. If so re install again the driver software of your printer.

I have an error message 0060 on my HP Inkjet 8500a Wireless with a error code 0060 message. No idea what to do. Any ideas please

Please perform the below steps..
  1. Power Off the printer.
  2. Power Off the Wireless Router.
  3. Now Power ON the printer and check if error message is displayed. If error still exists, it could be a printer issue and printer needs to be serviced. Call HP for further support.

Keep getting code 0060--won't start up. How do I get it reset?


Introduction You might need to perform a partial reset to restore the HP All-in-One to proper operation. A partial reset does the following:
  • Resets the user settings to the factory defaults.
  • Resets the language and country/region settings on some models.

My HP 6500 709N all in one printer displays "paper jam" error message. Have searched thru printer - no jam, no little bits of paper. Have been thru the trouble shooting process - doesn't help and...

WHAT IS DENSITY SENSOR IN LASERJET 8500


The Density Sensor is located inside the right upper door and senses the colour calibration pattern for each colour formed on the transfer drum during a calibration cycle. Press GO. Print a configuration page and then troubleshoot as an Image-quality problem as instructed in the user manual. Check the transfer guide for cracks and replace if necessary. Check the event log for errors numbered 54.00.0<X> the X indicates, 5-sensor abnormality, 4-Cyan, 3-Magenta, 2-Yellow, 1-Black. The last 3 error codes should be seen on the Configuration page.

The display is blank


This model of printer has a known fault with the LCD panel.

Contact xerox in your country, who will arrange to have a replacement front panel sent out to you to install - eeven though it is out of warranty and at no charge
