Question about Washing Machines
First try removing water. The security mechanism will prevent door from opening if there is water inside the machine.
To remove water, disconnect power and access the drain pump filter. This is located in front of the machine at the base. There should be a trim or an access door on one side. The filter behind the door has a round shaped screw cap. Open the cap and collect water using containers.
There are two access points to the door latch from behind.
First check if there is a security opening from the filter access. Many appliances have a tab or a string that can be pulled accessible from the filter access located in the front lower side of the machine. Be careful not to cut your arm while trying to access the unlock.
If there is no string or tab in there, then the latch is accessed from the top. The job is done removing top panel, then opening control panel enough to stick arm inside and reach the lock from behind the door.
In this case the job must be done by a person with repair experience.
Start removing water and check if this help. If the latch is really broken, see if there is emergency lock behind the pump access. If there is no access from there, then the top must be disassembled to reach the door latch.

Yes well NO one cannot open the electronic latch unfortunately.
This is one of those bad problems where unfortunately you must call a service tech, he has the special knowledge and tools to rectify your problem. If worried always ask for a "Quote" for the repairs before allowing any repair work to be undertaken, this way you can be appraised as to costings before you start. It shouldn't be a too expensive of a task though.
