If you remove the accessory box and look, there's a feed dog drop sliding button. Just move it back into position, and when you take your first few stitches, the feed dogs will pop up. It's not immediate, so it's a little confusing, be sure to stitch a few stitches to verify.

How to raise and lower feeder feet

I'm not 100% sure, but stitch #9 is neither straight nor zigzag/stretch, so I'm thinking that's where you turn off the feed dog and the needle positioning.

Uneven feed

machines can have single or double feeders. what type does yours have? feeding problems can usually be fixed by a good cleaning+ oiling of the feeder mechanism which regularly gets clogged with lint+threads/scrap threads. brush it out thoroughly with a stiff-bristled brush like an acid brush. apply 1 drop of oil to each feeder seen on the foot-plate. wipe excess oil off with a clean dry rag being sure not to get any debris from the rag caught in the feeder(s). other problem might be your bobbin tension. this is usually adjusted on the bobbin race with a very small screwdriver.

The Feeder Dogs are not moving forward or backwards on my sewing machine.

Are the Feed Dogs dropped? Check your manual for the location of the switch. .... otherwise your mechanism has been compromised. Take it in for repair.

The feeder dose not feed

there is a switch on the back of most machines behind the feed dogs that allow you to drop the feet for embroidery, you have to switch it back to raise the feed dogs back up

The feeder on my 6690 won't pull material through

Look in your owner's manual. I'm sure your machine has a reverse feed button but don't know if you can manually disable the feed teeth. If it is so equipped, it doesn't drop the teeth. Rather, it simply causes them to go straight up and down. If the teeth truly stay below the needle plate level, they are likely out of adjustment and need to bereadjusted and raised.

My machine drops stitches, bobin hangs up, thread knots up. I have cleaned the bobin case and feeder. What can I do to fix the problem?

This may sound very simple, but try putting in a new needle. If the needle is blunt or has a burr on it, that could be the cause of your issues.

If it is a drop in bobbin style machine you may also have a "needle nick" on the plastic bobbin case. The thread can get caught up on those little knicks causeing it to get caught up or fray.

You can pollish down the little knicks with a very fine sandpaper to smooth them out.
