Is it doing it when the PTO is engaged, if so then you will need to find out if the PTO is seized. If it is just blowing fuses then more then likely a pinched wire. Hope this helps Tim

I have a connex 4300hp . I have power until i key up ,then it blows the fuse . What size fuse does this require ?

There are many reasons for it to blow a fuse .Putting one in that is higher in amps won't help ,all it will do is prolong the reason it is blowing fuses. One reason could be IC 5 thats blowing them.

Where is the fuse for fixing running tail light?

Fuses do not fix anything

If a fuse blows ,you have to find & fix
the reason it blow

You certainly can check all the vehicle fuses, for
a failed one

Then you need wiring diagrams to find a problem

Down load a free owners manual, if you can find one

Fuses are in there

Fuse 18 keeps blowing

Once a fuse blows,it does so for a reason
Common Sense
In a 60 year driving career you have maybe 6 fuses blow
Replacing them 5 out of 6 time they blow again
Ask yourself why
You need to find the most logical item in that circuit
& start testing & that usually requires a wiring diagram
or you have no map or now where to start any testing.
Something overloaded a circuit find it & replace it or
resolve the wiring issue

If a fuse should blow up, there should be a reason for it. If you replace the fuse without rectifying the problem and switch it ON, the newly replaced fuse too will blow up. Before replacing an other fuse, find out the reason and rectify it. There should be some shorted component/s at its main power supply board. Check and replace them. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It has schematic diagram of power supply section to many televisions. Pull up older posts by its left side bar. Problems to Sylvania too will be there.

2004 jeep grand cherokee laredo keeps blowing the fuse for the parking lights and taillights

If it "keeps" lowing the fuse, there can be only one reason for it...you "keep" replacing the fuse without diagnosing the circuits to find out WHY the fuse is blowing in the first place.
When a fuse blows, there is a reason for it. If you do not find the reason and correct it, the fuse will continue to blow.

Please also review this article: Where's The Fuse?

With all of that said, the first thing I would check is all of the light bulbs. Sometimes the bulbs get really hot and melt inside and it causes the metal contacts in the bulbs to touch each other and short the circuit out. This is especially true if you can replace the fuse and everything seems to work ok for a while. They will all work until the offending bulb gets hot and "POOF" there goes the fuse again.

This condition can be hard to diagnose since the short circuit usually goes away as soon as the bulb cools off for a few seconds. In cases like this, what I usually recommend to save time and money is to replace all of the bulbs.

If it is fuse #6 (15 Amp) in the Central Junction Block that keeps blowing, it only powers the tail lamps, licence plate lamps, front park lamps and the front side marker lamps. The cost of replacing all of these bulbs is a LOT cheaper than an hour of diagnostic time at most shops. If this does not fix the problem, then you will have to trace all of the wires going to all of these bulbs to find out which one is shorting and where it is shorting. This could turn out to be very time-consuming and expensive, but at least, you will have eliminated the likelyhood that it is caused by a bulb.

What makes a fuse blow after being on for about 15 seconds

Hi Bill,

Either a short or too small a fuse.

Many fuses are what they call, 'Slo-Blo'. they are designed to take high current for a few seconds before blowing. This prevents normal power surges from blowing the fuses.

If this is happing every time you replace the fuse, something is wrong internally that requires attention.

Remember, the fuse blows to protect the equipment. The next step is to find out what is making the fuse blow.

If it's under warranty, don't open it up. just exchange it.

As for the reason it's blowing, you would need to post all the symptoms.

Best regards
Mike

My Amana package system fan only blows cold air

a fuse blows for a reason. dry bearings will increase amp draw, a non rotating fan rotor will blow a fuse. burnt windings will almost instantly blow a fuse. just changing the fuse may not solve your problem. find the problem and fix it THEN replace the fuse.
