This is an indication of a "General Hardware Failure". There are ways to fix, but they will void your warranty. Contact Microsoft at (800) 4MY-XBOX to see if the console is still under warranty.

TV does not turn on? (Relay problem?)


The power supply could be failing intermittently. That's why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Also, the relay could be erratic.

Nothing happens only power button lights or turns off


Count the number of flashes for the red power button. I'm not a Hitachi owner, but you can track one down here on fixya and they''ll give you more info. One of the internal components have failed and is keeping the power supply unit from firing up. Do you hear a relay click when you try to turn it on? If so, how many times does it try to fire up?

the red light flashing means the set is in auto shut down, could be a power supply problem or a convergence IC problem. tech should first check all diodes and caps in power supply then replace convergence IC's

this means your system is not properly conected also on yor video conponent check to see if its set on tv or hd mess around with it

No picture or sound - Power Save light blinks red 5 times - nothing on the screen


i also have the same problem with the flashing green light for a while then a different red light starts blinking on and off around 5 times....and i replaced my burnt bulb with a new one...still no picture.
