You're using a mobile app. That's all Windows CE can handle. There's nothing you can do to change that except get a real laptop.

Go to control panel "Internet Options". Next to "User Agent" select "same as windows xp".

Cannot accress WiFi on Sylvania SYBET7WIC-BK-Z

The Sylvania Netbook is an inexpensive 7-inch device that is convenient for accessing the Internet on public or private Wi-Fi networks. It is not intended to replace a regular computer for daily tasks; its purpose is to provide a lightweight unit to access social media and perform small tasks. The netbook defaults to mobile websites, but it does a good job at what it is intended to do. Connecting to Wi-Fi networks with your Sylvania Netbook requires configuring the device properly.

Boot up the Sylvania Netbook by pushing the manual switch below the screen. Push the F9 key to turn on the Wi-Fi on the device. Select the little wireless icon in the toolbar at the bottom; it looks like a small computer. Choose the "Wireless Information" tab. This will show the online status of the device, as in whether it has connected to the Internet. If you have checked the box beside this option, this tab also notifies you when new networks are available. If the status shows that you have connected. You may need to add your wireless router manually in the setup. Do this by choosing, "Add New." Obtain the necessary setup information from your wireless Internet provider. If you have an encrypted network, you will need to fill in that information about your router. To configure the wireless setup further, click on the name of the wireless network. Click on "Advanced Settings" and adjust your connection choices; this tab determines the order of connection if there is more than one network available. Another important setting on this tab is the "Allow Windows to configure my wireless settings" option. Check that box. Click the "Internet Explorer" icon on the desktop. If you are online, you will pull up the Google homepage. Hope this helps.

No applications on my sylvania netbook

I have no Idea what you paid for the sylvania, but In my humble opinion you would be better off returning it, unless you paid less than $5 for it. a better choice would be the amazon 7 inch fire tablet at $50. new from amazon.

I am trying to connect to my virgin mobile internet via the virgin mobile flash drive, the netbook isn't even picking up that I have the flash drive plugged into the computer.

If this is a Sylvania Netbook running Win CE 6 it is possible that the operating system simply doesn't have a driver for Virgin Mobile cellphone.

The only way I have been able to connect to the internet is via Wifi or a LAN cable plugged into the back. I doubt you will get any other method to work.

Please note the Wifi can be via a Wifi access point on your cellphone, a portable, mobile hotspot that connects via a USB modem or any other functional Wifi access point.

When the growth of mobile devices because such that their smaller screens made many web pages appear "too busy," web masters changed things to permit mobile users to see a scaled down version of the page for better usability (love those big words).

It's not that there's a necessarily a spyware issue.

Your (or your husband's) netbook is recognized as a mobile device, because -- it is.

The m.facebook.com page is what you want.

(The URL may change by the time you get this).

Your netbook just purely underpower. If your netbook is the version where it already comes with the 1gb memory, There is pretty much nothing you can do, because 1gb is the max the memory can expand to. You can do a drive defragment, Delete your history and temporary internet files to free up cluster. It might help or maybe not at all. In my opinion, get something more powerful. The saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Hello, take a look at this video review as it may help you. It explains that your unit is actually a mobile device , not a laptop, and so uses the same internet stuff as mobile phones, amongst others, so, for example, it uses the mobile device version of youtube which, I think, is www.m.youtube.com
Anyway, have a look at this excellent video review as it may answer some of your questions.

I received a sylvania 7 inch netbook for christmas and cannot get the internet to load. It shows that it is connected to the internet, but it says it cannot find the server

Hello, what are you trying to load? Apparently your unit acts like a mobile device and so doesn't work like a true fully-functioning pc;more a stripped-down version. Try using the mobile version of youtube, which is www.m.youtube.com
as that should work.
Also, it won't stream video from the internet, but should run mp3/4 video, presumably through the memory slot in the side.
Have a look at this interesting video review of the unit.

I just purchased the Sylvania 7" G-Netbook. This is probably a stupid question but here goes: Can you play the facebook games on this computer (Farmville, Fishville, Frontierville etc.?

I don't know anything about that particular netbook, but to play the Facebook games, you should only need a web browser (like IE or Firefox), and you should be running the current versions of Flash--and typically, if you don't have your Flash updated, it will prompt you to update it as you need it.

This is a very limited machine, the only thing that you can do with it is read Emails and go to the internet and look at some you tube. There is not enough memory to support detail such as facebook. The browser I.E. for CE is also very limited and some sites will not down load to it as it is recognized as a outdated program. Since there is no way to download games and play them you are out of luck.
