Question about Universal Remote Control MX-3000 LCD Touchscreen Remote Control

1 Answer

We have two of these remotes and need 2 batteries as they will not hold a charge. The code on our current battery is POWERCARD 056067. Do you have that in stock? Will another type work?

I have an error code of FOO ?

Joseph, No F00 maybe contact company. Digital Battery Charger Error Code Explanation Chart. Check the attached links,
"I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. Check out some of my other posts if you need more tips and info."

ERROR CODE DESCRIPTION REASON/ SOLUTION F01 The battery voltage is still under 10V (for a 12V battery) or 5V (for a 6V battery) after 2 hours of charging. Could be caused by trying to charge a 6V battery on a 12V setting or charger, or the battery could be bad, have it checked or replaced. F02 The charger cannot desulfate
the battery. The battery could not be desulfated, have it checked
or replaced. F03 The battery was unable to reach the "full charged" voltage. Could be caused by trying to charge a large battery or bank of batteries on too low of a current setting or the battery may have a shorted cell. Try again with a higher current setting or have the battery checked or replaced. F04 The connections to the battery
are reversed. The battery is connected backwards. Unplug the charger and reverse the connections to the battery. F05 The charger was unable to keep the battery fully charged in maintain mode. The battery won't hold a charge. Could be caused by a drain on the battery or the battery could be bad. Make sure there are no loads on the battery. If there are remove them.
If there are none, have the battery checked or replaced. F06 The charger detected that the battery may be getting too hot (thermal runaway). The charger automatically shuts the current off if it detects the battery may be getting too hot or the battery may have a shorted cell. Have the battery checked or replaced.

Check and replace the battery. It is weak. Lost the capability to hold current. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I had a test done on my battery in my 2003 ford ranger because of trouble starting.

Best quick test is to check voltage at battery terminals while vehicle is running. If you're seeing about 14.5 volts, you're getting charge current, so problem probably isn't the alternator. If battery still won't hold a charge, or won't hold enough of a charge, then a new battery is most likely needed. To get even more evidence, have most any service center do a load-check on the battery itself. They use a special meter that puts a heavy load on the battery (as you get when you're starting the vehicle), and registers how fast its output drops. If charging and battery look OK, problem is likely due to corroded wiring to starter motor and/or solenoid.

I got a 110cc foreign 4 wheeler in 2007, road it 5 times and been in storage till recently. It's only starting source is wireless remote start. It won't even click, I've charged it, new...

Modern batteries don't like to sit unused for 6 years and may not take and/or hold a charge sufficient for starting.
If you don't already have one, you can get a digital meter for <$20 at auto parts or electronic stores.
While checking across the battery terminals, try to start. If the voltage changes very little, then the starter isn't seeing it well enough to draw current; starter, solenoid or a crusty connector can be blamed.
If the voltage falls down to 70-75 percent when trying to start, then the battery is probably dead forever.
Some, but not all, can be restored by applying 2-4 times their normal charge voltage and monitoring it to see if the drawn current starts to climb.
If it does, DO NOT LEAVE THE HIGH CHARGE VOLTAGE ATTACHED UNLESS YOU STAY CLOSE TO IT.
I generally reduce the applied voltage until the current drawn drops to a few hundred milliamps and then check it every few hours to check progress.
If you can get the charge voltage down to 1.2-1.5 times the rated voltage and still have current flow, the battery may recover.

Battery goes LOW , then power stops This remote is only 2.5 years old

If you haven't replaced it yet then it's normal - the rechargeable battery has aged and must be replaced. Here is one

Mx3000 does not charge when in cradle. nothing

I agree with ceocass, however if you find that the contacts are clean and you have made certain that the charging cradle is plugged in you may simply need to replace the battery.

Remote is not charging while sitting on the charger? Could it need a new battery?

1) Ensure the cradle is plugged into an active AC outlet and the LED light on the cradle is on. There is a switch on the bottom of the cradle to control the brightness of the LED, set it to the highest. Try different outlets if needed. Does the LED light turn on and stay on (does not blink)?
ANSWER:
2) Remove the battery. Place the remote on the cradle and check the LCD screen. The LCD screen should display a 'White' screen with possible colors before going off. Try this a few times to confirm behavior. Did the LCD turn on briefly?
ANSWER:
3) Reinsert the Battery. Have you charged the battery for at least 3 hours? If no, please recharge the batteries for at least 3 hours.
4) Did the battery ever boot the remote? If yes, please continue troubleshooting.
ANSWER:
5) Remove the battery. Check the 3 gold contacts on the battery to see if there are markings on all the contacts signifying it was connected correctly to the remote. Did the battery have markings on all 3 contacts?
