Hello

For a Nikon D3000 all you will see in "camera" mode are shooting information and menu functions. The D3000 does not have a Live View feature where you can view the "live" image via the LCD, only through the viewfinder.

In review mode, you will be able to preview the images you have already taken, however.

I have a Nikon D3000 digital camera. When I turn it on the info menu is displayed on the monitor and I cannot see the image that I am shooting. When I turn the info menu off it turns black and says...

That is the factory setting. If had seen the image on the LCD before taking the picture, then there was something seriously wrong with the camera. The D3000 works as SLRs have worked for over half a century, providing you with a viewfinder to compose your photos.

On my D3000 once taken a shoot, monitor displays error. press shutter relase button again.

Press the button again. If it doesn't work, take the battery out and put it back in a while. If this doesn't work, reset the camera with the reset button.

If all this fails the problem has to be taken care of by authorized dealer repair shop.

How do i turn on my d40 lcd screen

What do you want to see on it?

Press the Menu button to see the menu.
Press the Info button to see the shooting info screen.
Press the Playback button to review the pictures you've already taken.

If you want to use the LCD screen for shooting, then you're out of luck. The D40 does not have the Live View capability. The camera is designed to function as SLRs have for the last half century: you frame the picture through the viewfinder. I realize this isn't the answer you wanted to see, but that's the way the camera works.

I have a nikon d3000. At first I was able to look through the LCD monitor and see what I was going to shoot, but now it just stays a black screen.

The Nikon D3000 does not have a Live View mode that allows you to see what you're going to shoot in the LCD screen. If you thought you saw something, my best guess is that you were mistaken.

Canon Powershot SD1000: LCD screen display

Hopefully you resolved this already. If not, push the "DISP." button left of the MENU button. Pushing it gives you three options: black (for discreet shooting so your LCD doesn't give garner dirty looks from fellow concert goers), liveview, and liveview with info overlayed (shooting mode, ISO, etc.). Good luck!

I can't view my pictures after the shot,it very blerr

I'm not sure if you are talking about the quick view of a picture just taken, or using playback mode to view shots taken. Either way, I suggest changing batteries so they are fresh.
There are 3 different LCD choices when in "Shooting Mode."
Press "DISP."
The display mode will change each time you press this button.
1- Standard (no info displayed, just pic)
2- Detailed (infor displayed)
3- Off
If you have tried this, then you may want to perform a reset to the cam. This will reset any screen/LCD settings that may have been changed.
Goto the Setup Menu and select "Reset All." Select "OK" and press "Func. Set."
This reset WILL NOT reset the following:
-Current Shooting Mode
-Date/Time, Language, & Video System settings
-White Balance Data (of you have custom settings changed in the custom white calance function)

p.s. You can always read the manual. :)
Have a good one.

I have a new Canon 40D. I just want to know how to turn off the view finder and just shoot pics through the LCD monitor?

Press the menu button, then scroll to the second wrench-symbol, then scroll to "Live View function settings" and press the SET-button. Then scroll to "Live View shoot" and press SET, then scroll to enable, and press SET again. Exit the menu by pressing the menu button twice.
Now you can turn on the live view by pressing the SET-button.
Hope this helps,  /Chris
