Really need to make a bunch of labels. Thanks. Joan Dolan Smart labor printer 420 running software version 6.9.2. How it happens is in the first paragraph. Tried loading from within the printer and also copying from the destop copy into the laptop SLP folder. Am getting nowhere.

Microsft Word is probably not only the best but if not the only solution. Test print a label or two, at a time and then a sheet, at a time. Attempting to print muliple sheets from a file associated with a different, standard, printer may not line up well enough to print pages and pages, unattended.

What you see between these ---> < - > <---- Brackets are actions for you to perform.

You'll may wish to choose a Microsft Word Template, you can do that by opening Microsoft Word, <Help>, <Tempates> or (if you cannot find templates) via: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/ select a label from your file and pick the number from the list that corresponds with the label on the box of labels. Please forgive the ambiguity, I'm working blind without knowing your Operating System or your version of Word, what printer, etc... This is general enough for most systems.

Here's the order:

  1. Click <Tools>, <Letters and Mailings>, Click <Envelopes and Labels>.
  2. Click the <Labels> tab, and Click <Options>.
  3. First choose the printer you want to use and next the label supplier number from the box sheets that you'll print your labels on.
  4. Click <Product Number>, scroll to the corresponding number from the label box. click Ok
  5. Click <Envelopes and Labels>, Click <New Document> and a label document will open.
  6. Type data onto the labels you choose to use, Avery number work well with Word .
  7. Click <File>, Click <Print>.
Now, you could try to make a copy of your label list, to experiment with, but it's probably best that you re-type the labels into each of the boxes while reading from your label program; until your PC is returned

In the SmartLabel directory under Program Files look for a file named label.sll This file holds your SmartLabel 100 addresses. After installing your new SmartLabel printer, copy the label.sll file into the new SmartLabel directory under Program Files. I have a Zebra GK 420 D that has static ip configured. I'm trying to remove the ip manually with the printer not hookup to our network.

The Desktop and Tabletop printer will only show the IP settings for an active ZebraNet Print Server. If the printer shows Active Print Server 'Unknown' here are some possilble causes:

Need drivers for installtion of win XP on Dell's Optiplex GX1 desktop PC

Hi,

The device drivers for your model computer/laptop can be downloaded from the Dell WEB support site.
To download the drivers from Dell WEB site, select your model desktop or laptop, or a better option, type in the Service Tag number, this is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). The Service Tag will open the page where the drivers specific for your model computer/laptop are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operating system.

For download copy bellow the link and paste on address bar.
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen

Now you can download easily one after one.after download all the driver ,unzip the fie with winrar or zip .
Download the winrar free,

http://www.filehippo.com/search?q=winrar

Now right click on every downloaded file and select EXTRACRT TO THE FILE FOR......,then create a new folder with the driver file, you can install eassily.

Hope it will help you.
