Display adapters if you cant find it there might be a problem with your computer recognising it

one bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps you

Is this a network adapter that's internal to the motherboard? If so, you need to download and install the drivers from the board manufacturer.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type devmgmt.msc

Please respond to all the following steps.
  1. Under Network adapters, please tell me all the devices listed.
  2. Are there any devices under Network adapters that have a red x displayed?
  3. Also, are there any devices anywhere in the Device Manager display with yellow ? or ! displayed?

If so you have to download all the drivers and install them.

The internal microphone is located near the top of the notebook LCD display or near the bottom of the LCD display near the hinge. Use the following best practices to capture sound more easily.
Follow the steps below to verify that the recording program on the computer works properly.
  1. Click Start , enter sound in the search field and select Sound Recorder from the list.
  2. Click Record and speak into the microphone. Save the file to an easily-accessible location, such as the desktop.
  3. To play back the recorded sound, open the file using Windows Media Player.
To record sound the internal microphone should be the default recording device.
1. Click Start , enter device into the search field, and then select Device Manager from the list.
2. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers list.
3. Right-click the audio driver , select Uninstall from the drop-down menu, and then click OK to confirm that you want to uninstall the audio driver.
4. After the audio driver is uninstalled, click Start , enter backup into the search field, and then select HP Backup and Recovery Manager from the list.

I need a driver for my kodak esp3 not a utility something i can actually put on a disk

Microsoft already has the drivers for the Kodak AiO's.
Basically what you do is connect your printer and click on start and right click on "My Computer" and select manage.

When you computer manager comes up.
Select device manager.

Now you need to locate "printing support" under Universal Serial Bus Controller.
Right click on it and select update driver. Please then use the Wizard to search the web for the best drivers.
Do the same for the scanner found under "imaging devices"

Hope this helps...

Activating the webcam
The drivers for the webcam are pre-installed and an HP Webcam 1000 icon displays on the desktop. Double-click on the icon to activate the webcam. The blue light illuminated next to the webcam lens, just above the LCD screen, indicates the webcam is on.

If double-clicking on the icon does not activate the webcam, do the following activities:

Click Start, then right-click on My Computer, and then select Properties.

On the My Computer properties window, click on the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
Click on the plus ( +) sign next to Imaging Devices and locate the webcam item in the device list.
If the webcam is not listed, do the following activities to install the driver using the webcam driver recovery.
Click Start, click All Programs, click PC Help & Tools, and then click HP Application Recovery.
Select Driver installation and click Next.
Select the HP Webcam 1000 driver from the list, and click Install.
If the webcam is listed under Imaging Devices but there is a red X on the icon, the webcam is disabled. See figure below.
Figure 1: Disabled Webcam Icon

To enable the webcam, right-click the HP WebCam 1000 icon and click Enable. The webcam icon should display on the Desktop.
Alternate locations for the webcam icon
If the webcam is installed but the icon is not displayed on the desktop, look for the webcam icon in one of these alternate locations.
Click Start, and click My Computer. The webcam icon should be displayed with the other devices. See figure below.
Click Start, and click Control Panel , and then click Scanners and Cameras. The webcam icon should be displayed with the other devices.
The HP Webcam 1000 does not install a listing under any of the All Programs menu.
Using the Webcam Diagnostic Test
To ensure the webcam is operating, do the following activities:
Right-click on the WebCam icon, and then select Properties.
Click on Test Camera under Diagnostics on the General tab.
The test should only take a few moments, but allow the test to complete operations by itself.
The result of the test, either “passed” or “failed”, will be displayed.

Toshiba A75-S229 The display is shaking

Before you send it out for repair, try the following:

Confirm that you have the latest driver for your display.
  1. Right-click "My Computer"
  2. Select Properties
  3. Click "Hardware" tab
  4. Click Device manager
  5. Right-click the entries under "Display Adaptors"
  6. Click "Update Driver"
  7. Follow the on screen directions.
If there are no updates, go to your computer manufacturer website, or your display manufacturer website and see if there are new drivers for your display.

Also check the scroll settings on your touchpad, there have been issues on other models where a cross-scroll starts and causes the diplay to "shake" You can check this through "Device Manager" as well, and check "Mice and otehr pointing devices"

Device Manager found a problem with the driver and can not be fixed automatically. Need to download the Integrated CD-RW/DVD Combo Driver.

If the drive is showing an error (or is missing) in device manager, do the following:

Start Registry Editor (Start, Run and type in regedit then click O.K)
Locate the UpperFilters value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
Locate the LowerFilters value under the same key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.

Hope this helps
