    Hi

Please check the wiring to the temperature probe (Part #F37). If wiring is fine then make sure there is continuity to the temperature probe. If the probe seems to be fine then you would need to check and replace the oven igniter (part #F19 ).

    (1) UNPLUG OVEN FROM WALL.

    (2) Remove floor of oven

    (3) Remove large metal strip underneath oven floor (2 screws)

    (4) Removed oven igniter (2 screws)

    (5) Check the wiring to the igniter, if wiring looks fine then use a multimeter to check the current to the igniter lead. To check the current use multimeter on Amp setting & check if 3.6 amps or greater is present during ignition, if not then replace the igniter.

    (6) Before replacing mark the wires of old igniter.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Oven Stopped Working..

It sounds like the igniter. The oven is not getting a spark to turn on, and heat up. We had the same problem, but changed the igniter, and it works fine. Good luck!

When I turn my oven on bake the broiler element runs and eventuly the f2 codes comes on.

your oven uses fboth the broiler element and the oven element during baking. Since you know the broiler element works, you most likely will have to replace the oven element.

I have a GE Single Wall electric oven.(JTP25SOH2) The heating elements just stop getting hot. unit is about 4 years old purchased brand new. first the broiler stop getting hot then the baking heating...

First your broiler heating element may have gone bad and now you oven heating element may have gone bad. Using an OHM meter disconnect them and test for their value.Full scale on the meter means it is shorted. No meter movement means that it is open.Eitehr means to obtain a new element(s) and replace it/them.

Oven not working

hey, turn the oven on and see if you see an orange glow at the bottom. this would be your glow coil. exactly like the broil. if you do, take an amp probe and check the amp draw to it. it should be over 2.9 amps. if no glow or low amps replace and start baking. enjoy

Trying to better define the problem....

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?

Self-clean not cleaning

I was wrong (I think).  the baking element probably was burnt out as the repairman said.  He replaced it and I thought selfclean still wasn't working.  In fact, I think I just had to give the self-clean function more time.  Also, I was judging by smell.  We have become used to a bad odor during self clean which was missing when it was broken and still missing after the repair.  Bottom line, the oven was clean after the baking element was replaced, sans smell.
