Fitting a Gforce video card in a veriton 5700GX

Your restrictions are based on available slot size and version. So get one that fits PCI-e x16.

Could not locate PCI version so check your manual, because the slots are backward compatible. Meaning you can connect a Ver 1 card into a Ver 3 slot, but not the other way around.

Expansion Slots - 1x PCI-e x16 slot, 1x PCI-e x1, 2 x PCI slots

I want to put my acer motherboard into a tower as the flat desktop model is taking up too much space but I will need to know exactly where everything connects to the board (power, front panel,, on/off,...

Only a true Acer manual for this model of PC could assist you. They provide a special connector in this model, for the front panel connectors, that cannot be simply connected in a standard Desktop or Tower case.

I don't know the parts of the motherboard.

What motherboard would you like to know the layout of? Although, many motherboards are different, most of them have the same basic parts. From back to front, you have the communication ports; (usually from top to bottom, varies by manufacturer)mouse/keyboard, usb 1.0/1.1/2.0(make and model dependant) serial, paralell, vga/monitor, then sound: midi, headphone/speaker out, line out, microphone in.
then on the board, processor, somewhere near it, cache, i/o chip, north bride chip, wich is responsable for memory(ram) access, ide(cd rom/ hard drive access) ports and power connector/s,
memory slots
then the south bridge chip witch controls isa port(old), pci slot, agp/pci-e slot (video card) along with the cmos battery, bios, and various other slots/connectors (such as fan, power button and so on) and chips, wich vary by manufacturer and model.
