We just put a new starter on our van now we need to unlock the radio can you help

You obviously disconnected the battery, your radio has to be re-coded. Loc means the radio is locked and needs a code to re-instate, did you buy the vehicle new? If not, maybe a different radio was fitted by the previuos owner

your anti theft device is activated,you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob,call your car dealer to get a new one,they are programmed for each car only,you cannot bypass it.

If the remote was programmed before loss of power, push and hold the unlock button until the alarm stops. If not try locking and unlocking the drivers side door with the the key. This has reset the alarm on my 2001 Odyssey.

You will also need the unlock code to reactivate your stereo after long term power loss. It is on a card with the manual given to the owner of new vehicles. A smart dealer will put it on a sticker in the glove box. Otherwise you have to remove the radio and give a Honda dealer the radio serial number to get the unlock code. Don't try it randomly; 10 incorrect tries locks the stereo.

Put key in the ignition,take it out of park and into neutral,wait few seconds,put it back into park and should start up.

STARTER SOLENOID IS CONNECTED TO STARTER.REMOVE STARTER SOLENOID MOUNTING BOLTS.THEN REMOVE IT FROM STARTER.

FIRST TURN OFF RADIO SO YOU WONT LOCK IT OUT.THEN REMOVE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.RAISE AND SUPPORT VAN SAFELY.REMOVE THE HARD SHELL CONNECTOR AT TERMINAL S GRASP THE PLASTIC SHELL.DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRE.DISCONNECT STARTER ELECTRICAL HARNESS.REMOVE THE UPPER STARTER BOLT.SUPPORT THE STARTER AND REMOVE THE LOWER BOLT.REMOVE THE STARTER FROM VAN.THEN WHEN YOU PUT ON NEW STARTER TORQUE BOLTS TO 20 FT LBS.

Park van so that you can safely access the starter. I use ramps under front wheels and put it in park and set the parking brakes. Disconnect positive battery cable at battery, disconnect starter battery cable and ignition wires from starter solenoid (remember terminal locations as these will attach to new starter solenoid). Remove old starter. Replace with new starter. Re-attach wiring in reverse order.

the problem could be the starter,battery, battery cables, or alternator. the clicking could most likely be the starter going bad if not bad already or the battery weak or bad battery cables, if you have good power to everything else radio headlamps and heater the i would start by replacing starterlet me know what you find.

Changing the battery shouldnt have affected your remote starter unless somehow you blew one of your fuses. However for more specific help with bullydog they have a great web help section at www.bullydog.com

Make sure battery connections are tight. Is the starter new or rebuilt? Some rebuilts are defective right out of the box. check connections @ starter
