Question about Garden

1 Answer

We purchased a Heritage ceiling fan from our local K-mart about two weeks ago, we installed it today and it makes a VERY loud noise in the engine when we turn the fan on... We went through the trouble shooting shooting guide and still is making the noise. We tried the phone number listed on the 25yr warranty and conviently this number is "no longer in service". Do you know a number I could contact this company at? The number I have is:1-888-561-1873...This number is NOT the correct one. Please help!!!! I would return it to K-mart, but unfortunately they are going out of buisness.

Sorry but the company went out of business years ago. The only thing you can do is let it run, The heat from movement will warm the grease and dispers it. The unit is " kinda ceased " do to lack of sales, because there very low end.

Who makes Heritage Ceiling fans?

unfortunatly there are many manufactures that have a "heritage" model fan ... like casablanca, minka aire, concord and emerson ... even Kmart sells a fan called Heritage (not a bad fan) ... of the above, casablanca has a high end model called "heritage" and that name is likely the domanant brand .. if you can find a model number then it can be isolated better ... .

here is info on that one

98 Cherokee 4.0 VERY loud grinding

Sounds like the alternator bearings have gone away, but, you need to physically check the source of the noise. (I can't do that from here).
It also seems that you may have more than one problem going on there, possibly a bad ignition switch and also a blown fuse or bad body control module. As far as why the noise seems to be only when the engine is "freewheeling" may have a lot to do with rpm change and loading when in gear. I would go after the obvious alternator problem first, then sort out the remainder later.

Got a 52" heritage ceiling fan from meijer and it uses e12 candalabra bulbs. Doesn't come with any and no local stores have them. What is the deal?

My local Home Depot stocks these, as does Ace Hardware.

You can also buy them online if you like (that link was just the first shopping link from googling "e12 candelabra bulbs"

Just be sure to rate my fix as "helpful" before you go shopping! :)

Light bulbs burn out

Use bulbs specifically designed for ceiling fans - they say "ceiling fan" on the package (Home Depot, Lowes both carry). The slightest regular vibration (like a fan rotating) causes normal incandescent elements to burn out within days or weeks.

If you wired black to black, white to white and green or bare to ground, you wired it right. Sometimes there are two blacks (hots) one for the light and one for the fan, but most of the time you hook the light wiring parallel to the fan wiring unless you install a remote switch.

Can you please tell me how to install my Heritage ceiling fan?

Its really easy but you need to be safe, make sure all circuits are off to the outlets you are working on. Usually everything is color coated black goes with black (hot), white goes with white, ground goes with green or copper make sure you use electrical tape to tape up, then assemble from there using istructions. Hope this helps

Temperature at 10 degrees

check condenser fans, if defective or running slow change it

if condenser fan is running, suspect a compressor with internal mechanichal problems, it will run but i can't guarantee how long, maybe a couple of weeks or days. if it's an copelamic compressor, it's going bad.
