Hi, this had happened to me too. All I did was turn down the cold water tap so that only a small flow is going into the washing machine. If you have your taps turned on to full the the water does just shoot out the front. So I just turn my taps on a little bit until the water no longer pours out the front.

I have had the same problem and discovered as has "dessyshell" that the problem is directly related to water pressure. I have the tap turned down quite low. I was having problems with water leaking from what appeared to be the door and I noticed that many other people had reported a similar problem. I spent some time trying to locate the problem as it only happened when it was doing the final rinse. I have now discovered the issue was the water pressure! If the water pressure is too high (and I dont have what I would call high pressure water - just average) it causes the water to leak out through the bottom of the detergent drawer when it is doing the final rinse. I think this may have something to do with the way the water is diverted to the fabric softener section of the drawer. I took the top cover off and watched the inside also and discovered that water was coming out through a slot in the water mixer box above the detergent drawer also. This could spray across the circuit board in an extreme case and may account for some of the failures that are mentioned in the various places I have been reading about problems with the machine. I have now simply reduced the water pressure by turning the taps to where they are only on a bit. This has fixed the problem with the water leak and stopped any water leaking inside.

How to fix leak from soap dispensor

I assume you have water coming out of the dispenser and running down the front of the machine. You probably have a build up of soap powder in the water inlet and it is restricting the flow and backing up.
Soap powder is only partially soluble in cold water and a residue of undissolved powder builds up over time, one of the reasons I use a liquid detergent. Remove the dispenser tray, it should pull out fairly easily with just a little resistance. Try and clear any blockages, hot water is best as it dissolves better. Clean the tray you have removed and re-assemble.

How does soap dispenser work? what does up for liquid and down for powder mean?

Liquid laundry soap (comes in plastic liquid container) uses the up. Dry powder laundry soap uses the soap that comes in a box, therefore not liquid. and uses the down switch slider control.

Why maytag neptune washer water pouring out soap dispenser door?

Either there is a sock stuck between the inner tub and the water
inlet to the tub or more likely you have been using to much liquid detergent and cold water wash all the time . This can cause the supply tube below the dispenser to be plugged up. Have fun cleaning it. Warm wash should always be used. Detergent needs the heated water to work properly .
only other possibility is mice building a nest if the washer hasn't
been used in along time.

My liquid detergent dispenser if full of water every time I open the drawer after a load of laundry. What can I do??

I had the exact problem. Is your liquid detergent tray missing the little white piece? It has the words " MAX" on it. If so, you will need to buy a new one. Repair Clinic website sells them, that's what I had to do. Hope that helps!

Can I use bleach with the laundry detergent for a load of whites?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. You need to preload all your detergents/liquids in a tray and let your washer do the work. No more “figuring out when to add softener, bleach or detergent”. The electronic controls on the LG WM-2277HW are clearly labeled and easy to use. This washing machine comes with standard dispensers for fabric softener and bleach and there is also a detergent dispenser.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Can I use color safe bleach in my new cabrio, and if so where do I put it?

According to the manual on pages 12 & 13.

1.
Place a load of sorted clothes into the washer. See “Laundry
Tips.”
■ Load evenly to maintain washer balance. Mix large and
small items. Items should move easily through the wash
water.
■ Load only to the top of the basket as shown. Overloading
can cause poor cleaning. Items need to move easily
through the wash water.
2. Pour measured powdered or liquid High Efficiency detergent
into the detergent dispenser. Always use the detergent
dispenser, and do not put detergent directly onto clothes in
the washer.
3. Add color-safe bleach (powdered or liquid) to this dispenser,
if needed. Be sure to match powdered color-safe bleach with
powdered detergent or match liquid color-safe bleach with
liquid detergent.
4. Pour measured liquid chlorine bleach into the liquid chlorine
bleach dispenser, if needed. Bleach is diluted and
automatically dispensed at the proper time during the wash
cycle.
■ Do not overfill. Do not dilute. Do not use more than 1 cup
(250 mL) for a full load. Use less with a smaller load size.
■ Follow the garment and the chlorine bleach
manufacturer’s directions for proper use.
■ To avoid spilling, use a cup with a pouring spout. Do not
let bleach splash, drip, or run down into the washer basket.
■ At the end of the cycle, a small amount of water may be
left in the dispenser. This is normal.
NOTE: Use only liquid chlorine bleach in this dispenser.

5. Pour measured liquid fabric softener into the fabric softener
dispenser, if desired.
■ Do not overfill. The dispenser holds 3 oz (94 mL), or a
capful of fabric softener.
■ The fabric softener is dispensed in the final rinse. If Extra
Rinse is selected, the fabric softener will be dispensed
during the Extra Rinse.
■ Do not spill or drip any fabric softener onto the clothes.
■ At the end of the cycle, a small amount of water may be
left in the dispenser. This is normal.
NOTE: Use only liquid fabric softener in this dispenser.
6. Close the washer lid.
7. Press POWER. This turns on the washer display.
8. Select a Wash Cycle. See “Cycles.”
9. Select the desired Modifiers. See “Modifiers.”
10. Select an Option, if desired. See “Options.”
11. Select Delay Wash, if desired. See “Delay Wash” in the
“Modifiers” section.
12. Press START. The wash cycle begins, and the display shows
the estimated remaining time. The lid will lock.
NOTE: If you do not press Start within 5 minutes of pressing
Power, the washer automatically shuts off.

The way that I read the manual, your color safe bleach would go in the detergent dispenser. Your liquid chlorine bleach would go in the bleach dispenser.
