This is actually normal for the cooling fans up to full power for a few seconds when the laptop starts. When any computer starts, it performs a Power-On Self Test (POST), most laptops test to see if the fans are functional by spinning them up to 100% power for a few seconds. If the fans don't spin up during bootup the laptop will mark them as failed and will notify you to change the fans.

Hope this helps

I have dell 3300mp,when I turn the power on it makes a very loud noise. It does not make the sound in standby or cool down. It does work and display a signal okay, but it is very loud. Sound like a fan?,...

The main fan that cools the lamp is mostly high speed when the unit is running. when it shuts down it slows the fan down, until it stops in standby. So the noise is only really loud when it is showing a picture.

try setting the fan to eco mode (slower running) and see if the noise is acceptable. If it is still too loud then you will have to replace it. Have a look at the fan and see if any of the plastic blades are missing.

My computer started making a loud noise that will not stop. I am not sure if it is the fan or hard drive. The computer seems to be working fine. Any idea what could be making the noise?

In order to confirm the problem.. first of all turn off the pc and unplug the power cable from the back of the pc.... get a Philips head screw driver and open the chasis.... plug in the power cable and see where are you getting the noise from .... there are three fans namely one on the processor, the other a cooling fan and the last would be inside the power supply.. if its inside the power supply nothing can be done ... if its the cooling fan noise .... try to clean the vents or the cooling fan with the help of the dry cloth and if its the processor fan then its a serious issue ....

My computer fan speeds up whenever I'm on the

Nothing ... probably ... your fan speeds up when the processor temp goes up ... the more you are doing, the more cooling you need. The processor is calling for more cooling so the fan runs faster.

If this is a concern for you, you may wish to consider adding another fan to your case. In any event, make sure your power supply fan is clean. Use a vacuum or canned air to clean.

Kenmore upright vac model 33922 - good suction but developed loud whining noise after accidentally vacuuming room without bag. Added bag and changed both filters. Still makes noise. How can I stop noise?

The bag is the first stage in your filtration. Most times what you did will draw fine dust right through the filters and into the motor itself, affecting the bearings and clogging the motor fans, throwing them off balance.
The fact that there is a new noise would seem to indicate bearing problems which will only worsen unless the vac motor is dismantled, fans cleaned and bearings either replaced or cleaned and repacked.

My fans are very loud do I need to replace them

check the plastic rings behind the fan blades, check to make sure plastic rings is tight and the screws holding fan cage on. Then when putting the fan cage back together, make sure it is tight so it wont vibrate

Over heat cooling fan load noise remove and replace

A bearing more than likely has went bad causing your fan to stop properly cooling your unit. Replace with a compatible fan and you should be all set. Hope this helps.

Cooling fan

Yes. It can be replaced. Try to check which fan is making that sound. Do you have a laptop or a PC? On a PC, there are 3 standard fans inside it. one for the CPU, one for the power supply and one for the computer casing fan as well. It depends on which of those fans it's coming from. On a laptop, some laptops' fans actually makes a loud noise which is common but there is a way that it could be lessened but it might slow down your pc and it might overheat it as well. The loud noise on the fans of a laptop actually indicates that it's trying to cool down the system. If it doesn't stop the loud noise, it could indicate a problem switching the fans back to normal and would just continue to spin fast. Try to contact your PC tech for further diagnostics on the laptops fan to indicate if the problem is with the fan or the mainboard as well.
