Question about GE Microwave Ovens

I have a GE Profile Spacemaker Model # JVM3670BF001 and suddenly it will not heat. Everything else is working and there is no other indications that something is wrong. Any guess as to what I am dealing with?

It sounds like the main transformer has failed. It would be cheaper to replace the whole microwave than repair this one. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Does it make any extra sounds that it didn't use to? This would indicate something shorted in the high voltage doubleing section. If not, probably a bad magnetron or door switch.

You may have a fuse that burned out. not everything runs on the same circuit . If its not the fuse than its probably the mega-tron, and that's big money. Check the fuse first. good luck DFD

Microwave not heating food

It's most likely the Magnetron. The are not very easy to install and quite expensive. Older models magnetrons cost about 80 bucks from GE. It's probably not something you would want to try and repair yourself. Call a GE service person.
