What connection are you using to connect to your TV/Receiver?
If it is HDMI

  • Make sure you go into your DVD settings and select enable audio through HDMI

If you are using Component (red/green/blue) or Composite(Yellow RCA)
  • Make sure you connect the Audio out (red/White) RCA connectors as well

If these solutions do not help, please prive the model# of the DVD player along with what type of connections you are using as well as what you are plugging them into (TV model/Receiver model etc)

I hope this helps,
Magoo

Only getting very low sound on front speakers on my jvc th-s51 system

if you are only getting the front speakers, you are hooked up in stereo mode. Are you using red white and yellow cables? Is the source in stereo? Try a digital coax cable.

My iPOD touch doesn't work with the JVC dvd receiver kd-av7010

Most likely not, because the Ipod needs a USB 2.0 port, the JVC receiver you has most likely has an older USB port version. The cord should not make a difference.

no, u cant use the speakers with other normal DVD player because it wont have amplification for the speakers... u can use the sub to other dvd player because its inbuilt 120 watt woofer. ur dvd player is 5-disc player as wel as 120 X 2 and 80 X 3 watts amplifier (AV receiver ).... so just the JVC better sound thru the sub and speakers... JVC TH-M606 so many problems

Are the speakers made by JVC? Do they come factory with that unit? Is it a receiver/dvd player or is it just a dvd player?

It seems that the receiver (dvd player) doesn't have enough amps (power) to support the sound throughput being pushed to the speakers, therefore turning off the unit for blowout protection.
