I cannot seem to get the WEP working with the new WRT54G3G mobile router.
I can get other computers connected and browsing if Security is disabled. Once WEP is enabled wireless clients cannot connect. They can see the router and enter the correct key but do not connect...
Any ideas??

Try this steps.
Go to Network Connections
Properties of Wireless Network Connection
Click Wireless Network Tab on the top
At the bottom, clear the Preferred Network box. Make sure delete all names that are listed.
Click OK all the way out
Enable the WEP on the router.
Now try to connect to the wireless network again with WEP enabled.
Make sure you enter the 10-digit code and not the Passphrase.
If it doesn't connect, try to power cycle the router. Just unplug the power for 30 seconds then reconnect to the wireless network.
That should do it.

Sorry for taking so long to answer...just got the account back up and running.
I have tried generating a passphrase and defining one myself... neither work. The problem does not lie with the computer as I have tested with many computers and devices. None will connect wirelessly to the router once the wep is enabled (but will connect with other linksys routers using WEP).
Is there another model from linksys which will use this aircard with verizon?

When you enable wep on the router, are you entering a passphrase and let the router generate a key for you, or you are manually entering a wep key on the router?
