That is not good news. Do you have electronic repair experience? If so, it is most likely the inverter board. This is the board that produces the voltages necessary to run display.

If not, then your best bet is to replace the monitor. You can look on EBay or check local charity store like Good Will or St Vincent DePaul

Best of luck, Jim

Jumbled keyboard numbers

Are you typing on your laptop and notice the text has become illegible? What should be letters, have become numbers or symbols. This odd behavior can probably be explained be peering a little closer at your keyboard. Those little numbers on the keys. These numbers and symbols normally become active when you hold down the function key, usually labeled as the "FN" key. The "FN" key is similar to the Shift key, activating a second function assigned to a key. It can become active seemingly on it's own because a key is locked in the on position.

Before performing numerous key combinations, try the simple thing of lightly tapping the "FN" or "Num Lock" 5 to 6 times. There may be a small particle of something logged under the key that you can loosen, move, or crush down. Do not bang the keys, just press normally. Next focus on the "Numlock" key which usually located with the "Print Screen" and "Pause" key on the top right of your keyboard. Press the "Numlock" key, then press a scrambled key to see if it's normal. Older model laptops may require you hold down at the same time, the "Ctrl-Shift-Numlock" keys. Newer models may require holding down the "Shift" key and pressing the "Numlock" key. Turn off the Function key with the following combinations. Hold down the "FN" key and hit the "Numlock", Hold down the "FN" key and hit the "Scroll" key and Hold down at the same time "Fn+F12+Num Lock"

My TI-83 Plus is only showing a bunch of scrambled symbols when I turn it on. I have tried changing the batteries and nothing happens

I'm no expert with the TI-83, but generally when any computer does stuff like that, it's because the boot code is toast.

You can try hard resetting it and reinstalling the built in software. If you have anything stored on it, you will lose it. The instructions are here: http://www.ehow.com/how_5121373_reset-ti-plus-calculator.html

Failing that, you may be able to fix it by taking it apart, cleaning all the connections, and putting it back together.

When i power on my LG tv 32" something ti inside

There is a faulty part inside your tv that, when you try to start the tv, acts as a short and that causes the protection system of the power source to activate and shut it down in emergency mode. The noise you probably hear is the power relay being disengaged by the protection system.
To fix that the tv must be opened and tested so that the faulty part is identified and replaced. This can be done only by someone with experience in electronics - you will have to call one.
In the mean time unplug the tv from the mains, the longer it stays plugged the greater the damage becomes.

Lg 2234s monitor will not come out of sleep mode

restart the computer and the monitor. If the monitor is still in sleep mode then hook up the monitor to another computer that is working. If the monitor is still in sleep mode then that means that the monitor is bad.

If the monitor does work on another computer then that means that your computer has no video output and its an issue with the computer, you'll need to try and unseat and reseat the memory to see if that brings back video output to the computer.

When I turn the switch on, ti-89 titanium does not turn on.

If you connect calculator to computer using Ti connect device explorer you might be able to see what files are on the calculator. I don't know if you downloaded from the web but, 3rd party programs and shells tent to miss up the calculator. This would able you to delete out possible problems which could be re installed later.
