My Dell 5110CN won't print CYAN. The printer has and reports a full cyan cartridge. All the other colors print fine. The color test page is missing all the cyan color but prints the others fine.

SOURCE: C88 / T060 cartridge refilling problem

sounds lke your yellow nozzle not working properly...had same issue on lexmark printer, ended up geting this epson...learnt from my mistakes...perhaps it ran dry? or you left the yellow cartridge out longer than the rest....only you might know what happened

SOURCE: Prints on Cyan

For the colors that are not printing, take the cartridges out. Now get a bowl and pour in about 1/4 on an inch of window cleaner. Now put the cartridges in the window cleaner with the the bottom that releases the ink in window cleaner. allow them to soak for about 10 minutes, dry them off, then blot the bottom with a paper towel to see if ink is now releasing. if so install the cartridges back in the printer to see if the colors print.

If it's a generic ink, try another one, if it's a Canon ink, make sure the tape on top is removed, it covers an air vent, if that doesn't help, you need a new printhead, QY6-0059-000 around $40.00

SOURCE: cyan is offset about 3/16"

check the locking tabs on the cartridge, sounds like they are not locking down the cartridge.

SOURCE: MP830 Cyan Ink won't print

Soaking the print head in non-detergent ammonia works very well. It breaks up the dried ink clots perfectly. (Soaking in alcohol does not work nearly as well.) Be sure the head is completely dry before putting it back in the machine.

HP 4700 not printing cyan

If your printer is missing a color it could be caused by (off the top of my head) 3 possibilities.
1. High voltage board
2. laser/scanner assembly for that color
3. DC controller might need a firmware upgrade,
Run the PQ diagnostics, check the cyan color
Run the Cartridge Disable diagnostic. Remove all cartridges and take the black cartridge and insert it where the cyan normally is. If the black prints in the cyan slot, your cyan cartridges are bad. If the black doesn't work then go to #3 above. It won't cost any money to upgrade the firmware. If it still doesn't work call in a printer tech.
At this point you may need a printer tech.

Not printing any colour from dell Color Laser 5110cn - not even from test page

There are 3 possibilities for missing colors.

1. Developer Motor (part number YD415) is probably what's failing. You can go to diags by holding the Up and Down arrows while powering on. Scroll to IOT diags, the select Digital Outputs, select test DO-19. You can open the covers and remove the Image Drum, allowing you to watch the Developer Motor's 4 gear clusters. If any stall, or work noisily, then you've found the problem.

2. Developers might be failing. (M6090 Magenta, G6593 Cyan, H6682 Yellow) If you've been using 3rd party toners, or had single color ghosting, then this is possible. However, the often don't all fail together.
3. Toner Dispenser ( TF123) drives the toner out of the toner cartridges. Again, only one usually fail at a time.
4. It may be a set-up issue. Perhaps somehow, color is disabled in the document or on the printer. Except that you've already mentioned that test pages also fail.

You can find the user's guide here which lists all the parts and supplies. Here's the cartridge information from the manual:
  • HP Color LaserJet black print cartridge Standard black cartridge CE260A
  • HP Color LaserJet black print cartridge High-capacity black cartridge for CLJ4525 models only CE260X
  • HP Color LaserJet cyan print cartridge Cyan cartridge CE261A
  • HP Color LaserJet yellow print cartridge Yellow cartridge CE262A
  • HP Color LaserJet magenta print cartridge Magenta cartridge CE263A
You can use the HP numbers to look for original or after-market replacements.

My Dell 5110CN seems like the printer is out of cyan. All the other colors look fine. Cyan is 60% full. I decided to try non OEM toner as the cost of toner has just gotten out of hand. I tried installing...

seems most if not all manufacturers have now made their machines so they only work with NEW OEM cartridges . Once installed they will not work if taken out . there is nothing we (consumers) can do about this .

HP c3180 color printing problems

I would definitely start by printing a self-test page. With your model press and hold the Cancel button and then press the Start Color Copy button and then release both buttons. When this page comes out you should be able to identify the 4 different color, cyan, magenta and yellow. If any of these seperate areas are choppy or non-existant, you need to replace your cartridge. Here is a link that will show you examples of what you should/shouldn't see on the self-test report.

Dell 5110 printer has a cyan ghost next to the image. Also, about a 1 inch tall cyan horizontal band that repeats about 8 or 9 times down the page. bands are evenly spaced. Any idea what's wrong?

Sounds like you've got maybe a drum problem -- seen in two different symptoms, but you can try to fix it:
Go to the troubleshooting section and look for the links to these instructions:
-- Fixing your registration through the menu
-- Cleaning your drum

Registration is where the printer prints each color. It sounds like your cyan is off.

The bands may be from a dirty drum.

Hp 4600 no cyan printing

Firstoff, if you have tray 1 set to "any size" & "any type" they had problems with it going into calibration to frequently. If you upgrade the firmware this will take care of that. As for no Cyan, check the scanner interlock to insure it is opening the scanner cover. You could also go into diagnostics and disable cartridge check and swap the cartridges around, ie. cyan & magenta, run the print quality pages and see if the problem follows the cartridge. It could also be HV power supply.
