Can the remote sensor go out on this tv? We have 3 different remotes that used to work it, and can't get any of them to work now. It worked fine this morning.

Syk_pik_acha,

It is possible but you have not explained any of the circumstances. Is it dead? Do you have sound but not picture? Does it turn on at all? Can you work it from the on board controls? Answers to these questions would be helpful in the troubleshooting process.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. Hi, To change one of your TV with another brand is not a wise decision indeed. Well, Your TV has a remote sensor in the front side. Try to places both TV on opposite position. Otherwise use the used batteries on both of your TV remote commander. This will reduce its signal.

My tv won't turn on with the remote. The remote works fine

You can try www.encompassparts.com The remote sensor is located on the main board up close to the buttons. It is a 3 legged part that is exposed to a small window in the front cabinet. Thanks for using fixya.

Using the Wii Wheel, uncontrollable

you might have a bad wii remote, because the wii wheel is just a case for the remote to sit in. try playing it without the wheel and see if that works. if you dont have any luck, you need a new wii remote.
