Question about Baumatic F60 Stainless Steel Kitchen Hood

1 Answer

The light blew on my Beaumatic F60 extractor fan, thought the bulbs had gone so changed the bulbs, they lasted a couple of minutes before blowing again and then the fan wouldn't work also. I can't find a fuse to see if this has blown. How can I fix this?

Look at the instruction/installation manual.
Are the bulbs 12volts or 120vac? If it is 12v there is a transformer that might be shorting to ground. If no transformer, the control panel or the control board has a short.

My 01 grande Cherokee keeps blowing brake

the bulbs you mean, not the BRAKE FUSES?????

blows what.
if the lamps blow, they are the wrong lamps
or the alternator regulator has gone berserk and the line voltage , is over 15vdc.
my guess is bulbs.
and would be system over voltage.
i had one car in 1984 that the reg went nuts and blew out all bulbs in the, car at 2am. (and not a nice part of town either,,,,)
up upgraded that car to electronic reg. ,
like i do all my classic cars now.

buy a cheap 10 buck DMM volt meter at walfart.
and put it across battery terms, running and racing idle.
13.3 to 15vdc is legal range.

Headlight fuses

Take the bulbs out. put a voltmeter across the termals (Which go to the bulb)
Start your bike & look at the voltage going to the bulb.
Rev your engine & see if the voltage rises.
If it goes above 14V then there is something wrong in the charging curcuit. (Regulator)
or if one of the diodes in the recifier has gone short curcuit then
you could be getting AC into the battery (Very Bad)

Lights on bottom don't work. Sockets fell apart and vent fan now does not work. A bulb blew out , then all of this happened.

We see and repair this a lot. The problem is on the control board, which we regularly repair for $39.95 nationwide.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too.

We'd also recommend buying top-quality bulbs.

They can blow if subjected to vibration such as door slamming or a weak floor, or electrical fluctuation, especially if they are cheap bulbs or they are left on all night.

Instead of having the board repaired, you can order a new control circuit board / smart board if that's economical, and since your sockets are bad, they will need to be replaced, too.

You can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and part ordering help here. I recommend that you bookmark that link to your

There's a YouTube video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

If you're changing the board yourself, you'll need to detach the keypad connector:

Some connectors will have a lock.

The extractor on my Baumatic fan stopped working. Thsi was shortly after the light bulbs blew which I replaced and they work OK. Any suggestions as to how i can resolve this?

Sounds like it was the main fan motor - that caused the lights to blow in the first place.

Isolate from supply, and get the fan motor checked out. If it is burnt out (inside) you will need a replacement.

Hope this helps.

Dell 1100mp "Temp" Light

I had the same problem and fixed it today. The fan is 70 x 70 x 20mm. I could not find the exact one, but 70 x 70 x 15 works just fine and I was able to find that fan at a Micro Center store for $8.99. The fans should be blowing air out from the front of the machine, not blowing in on the lamp.
