Here is a cisco page that goes over the password recovery procedure. Once you reset the credentials, you can make any configuration changes needed. You will also have the option to keep the existing configuration in place but change the password, if the configuration has any use to you.

I lost my user name and pass word. Can you help? Please

Usually when one loses the credentials one created for the router it's not retrievable meaning one can't just click a forgot password link. You have to restart the router and access the router using the default username and password. Usually located on the router somewhere if not, I suggest you use this link http://routerpasswords.com/ really handy when you can't find the defaults. When you're in the router you can change the username and password, and don't forget to write it down and put it some place secure! Don't be afraid to restart the router you won't lose connectivity forever just for a few minutes as it reboots. The router should have a little button in the back, you'll have to use a pen or pencil to push it. Depending on the make you may have to hold the reset button anywhere from 15-30 seconds. To really be sure, check the instruction manual or check the manufacturer website in how to reset your router. Hope this helps!

Forgot my password to my cisco router

On the back of your router is a 'reset' button. Use a toothpick or a pen to press it for approximately 5 seconds. Once this is done you can log in with the default user and password.

I can find the default user and password for you, but I'll need the model of your router to do that. However most likely the user will be 'admin' and the password will be 'admin' or the password will be blank.

If you need a list of cisco routers and their default users and passwords, you can find them here: CISCO Router Passwords

I lost, or dont remember, the password to my Cisco router

Hello,
routers have a way to be reset when this happens. It is usually done by pressing a button on it for a few seconds. This kind of button usually needs to be pressed by a pen tip or unfolded paper clip. Once the reset process is completed, your router will either have no password assign for th default administrator account or have it reset to a default which is mentioned in your router configuration, usually "admin".
If you provide us with the exact model number of your router, which can be found on the router itself, we can provide you with the exact location or the reset button and what will be the credentials to log in after the reset.
Regards,

Hi,

The default UID and Password is "Admin" and "Password". If that doesn't work you have to reset the router by pressing the "Reset" switch for 5 Sec. Then your default UID and PWD will be restored.

NOTE: IF YOU RESET YOUR ROUTER TO ITS FACTORY DEFAULT ALL SETTINGS, INCLUDE ANY ADSL SETTINGS, FIREWALL SETTINGS, PORT FORWARDING SETTINGS WILL BE ERASED.
IF YOU KNOW YOUR ADSL SETTINGS ie., USER ID AND PASSWORD, THEN PROCEED WITH THE STEPS MENTIONED ABOVE, ELSE CONTACT YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER FOR YOUR UID AND PWD.

Take Care.

Hi, what's a password on the router Cisco Catalyst 2960 default?

Try using username (none) pass public/private/secret or
cisco - cisco, ADMIN - changeme, pixadmin - pixadmin, root - attack, superuser - superuser as username - password. These are the defaults credintials for the Cisco routers.

When I did restart then i want use d-link it says user name ?? and password ?

When you reset a router, it restore its settings to factory-default. If you are attempting to log in to the router's control panel, you will now have to use the factory default login credentials.

These credentials are:

Login: admin
Password: admin

Let me know if I can assist you further, or if I need to explain any of what I mentioned above in more detail.

If you found my solution to be helpful, or if it resolves your issue, please rate the solution.
