Question about Bosch Washing Machines

1 Answer

The clear plastic door cover of my Bosch front load washer has come loose at the top, so that when it spins, it vibrates. From the "looks" of it, seems like there are supposed to be 4 screws that hold the plastic domed cover to the door, and the top one is missing. Any suggestions on how to fix this without having to call a repairman to remove the door, etc.?

Try sealing the dome onto the door with silicone sealant. Smooth it well into the inside of the door so that it will not be caught by the washing. Also smear liberal amounts on the outside to hold the dome in place, but smooth it off for appearance sale. Smoothing is best done with a wet finger to leave a good finish.

Ds codemkeeps coming up even though the door is shut

The "dc" error code indicates an unbalanced load is preventing your washer from spinning properly. Try redistributing the load, then press the Start/Pause button. If the load appears well-distributed, you may need to make adjustments to the leveling legs to make sure the washer is properly leveled, removing the clothes and running a spin only cycle to make the necessary adjustments. Once firmly leveled, be sure the plastic leg locks are tightened to prevent them from vibrating loose.

Turn program selector to "off". Turn selector to Drain or Spin. Press the start / pause. Wait until program ends. Open door.

Press "start / pause" until the start / pause light flashes.

OR

First, unplug the machine and turn off the water supply. On the lower right of the front panel is a 6" / 15mm cover. Near the bottom of this cover is a small hole. Insert a piece of wire into this hole, and push in gently. While pushing, turn the cover clockwise, it will came off.
The door release is a narrow white plastic strip hanging down on the right; Pull down on this strip while pushing in on the door, the door lock will release.

RE. Bosch Nexxt 100 series. Does not spin. I have cleaned all hoses, outflow and inflow. Opened the little circle door at bottom right and it is clear. The fan even spins during drain cycle. I do hear...

Check connectors on motor assembly they can become loose due to the high speed and vibration. Motor and drum are tied together. I had similiar problem with mine after spending a few hundred on a control board which made no difference.

Hello - we have a Bosch Nexxt 100 Series Washer. The front loader door is locked and I cannot get it to unlock. We have a load of clothes in the washer. I have tried to run the "spin" cycle...

Easy to do....But may need a service call from a pro to fix the underlying issue.
Take the bottom right little door off and try not to cut yourself reaching in..(OH TURN OF THE POWER). reaching in after looking with a flashlight try to grap the zip tie looking plastic hanging there and pull it down gently and it will unlock.

Of course make sure you tried to unplug it first for 10 minutes and then try turning it on again in spin mode.
Thanks,

I have a bosch 500 bexxt series washer and the front plastic insert on the door has come loose. It seems to have plastic male pine that look they should snap into the door but the top three are loose/out....

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I think if you can remove the cover and than re-install it may remedy the problem.

Try this...With the aid of a small screw driver, knitting needle, or anything small enough to fit in the small hole in this cover...

682f584.jpg

It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force.

Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free, the edges of the cabinet, not the cover, are very sharp so be careful.

Now with it off you can observe the notches and how they should line up, place it back in place and turn it counter-clockwise.

If nothing is broken on the plastic cover it should resemble this...

Let me know how you make out or if you have any problem.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

NEXXT Premium will not spin or drain

There should be a filter located at the bottom right front of washer behind drop down flap or plastic cover.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

Need clear plastic cover for front of door

I have one. My new Bosch washer came 2 months ago and I removed it immediately.
The problem is that it arrived scratched up somewhat, which is another reason I removed it as this will only get worse with a plastic cover.
The cover also makes it harder to see into the machine while it's in operation.
To be honest, I'm not sure why you would want it on there, but if you really need one then mine is available.

Front glass window seems loose

When the machine is spinning, place your hand gently against the glass and check for a vibration. Do not push on the glass.
This is to check and see if the vibration is from the door or from somewhere else.

The front door comes apart. Disassemble the door and check the seal where the glass sits. If this seal is worn or out of place it will allow the glass to rattle against the rear panel. When the machine is spinning, place your hand gently against the glass and check for a vibration. Do not push on the glass
