Question about Sony Car Audio & Video
This indicates that there has been a mix up in the wiring. Usually the acc position is when power begins to flow through the entire car system and also the power continues to flow when the car is turned on. But in your situation where the power was tapped from does not supply power when the vehicle is turned on. This happens when the source of the power powers something else when the vehicle is turned on. This could cause serious hazards to your car system if not sorted out properly as this could cause a car fire.
Best way to sort it out is to get an expert to help retrace the entire power wiring of the stereo. If possible get the stereo uninstalled and a fresh installation carried out so all the wires will be in place.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

You have the power leads hooked up incorrectly, One lead is the "Keep Alive Memory", that is always hot (battery +), the second power lead is to the ignition on position, it is hot only when the key is turned to run or the truck is running. You will have two wires in the Jeeps stock harness that will be hot all the time and one that will have battery power when the key is turned to run, here are those wire colors, hook them to the corresponding power leads shown in the installation diagram of the Sony radio.
Jeep radio harness colors:
Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Pink
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Violet/White
If you have the wires hooked up right then just find a power sources that is hot when the key is in run or accessory at the base of the steering column and tap into it.
