I forgot my hdd password and want to deactivate computrance in bios

I take it that you've forgot your bios password.. Take off your side cover of PC (check this through your manual if you have it) and look for a round shiny battery. near there you will see 'clr cmos'. Next to that you may see 3 pins with 1 jumper. Disconnect power source. Take the jumper off it's present 2 contacts the 'jump the centre on and the one that was open. Count 5 secs and reverse back to original 2 jumpers. Your bios will tell you ( when you reboot) that cmos needs setting. Your password has now gone from your bios. I you have a password on your hard-drive try downloading Hirens Boot Disk 15. Boot from the CD and there are a myriad of repair & fixes that come there which will help you Hiren Pankaj Homepage www hiren info

Laptop SONY VAIO VPCEB32FM: how to remove BIOS password

The BIOS password is probably the Power On Password.
This method may not work. Remove the BIOS battery for 20 mins until the charge in the BIOS is depleted. Insert the BIOS battery go into the BIOS setting and set the Date and Time etc.
If this does nor work then the BIOS password is stored on an EEPROM chip and removing the BIOS battery won't work and there is probable no backdoor passwords.
The Sony support maybe able to offer a solution, check the support WEB site..

Forgot bios password on satellite 1805-s274

If you are the original owner, Toshiba will unlock the bios code for a fee $100.00 a cheaper approach, go to www.ebay.com Type: bios password this will take you into a list of sellers to choose from, I suggest one that deals with Toshiba, "better chance of success"

My daughter is bad mouthing me on her facebook and i want to close it she's a minor

Hi mom!

there are 2 ways to close or deactivated the account of your daughter in the facebook. here's how...

1. If you know the user id and password of your daughter ... log in at facebook. On the upper right corner of the facebook page...Click account settings..
Under My Account at the lower portion of the page you will see Deactivate Account.... press deactivate..
You will be asked again, just click Deactivate Account.. for confirmation a verification code will put in the box and ask for your password to completely deactivate that account..

2. The second way is to report that account to the facebook.... Log in to facebook using your account..
On your homepage. double click the name of your daughter to enter on her wall. Once inside her Wall... Find the "Report Page" button located at the left side portion of the page under photos and videos..Click it.
A small window will come out..State your reason (example: racist, hate speech) and then submit... you will also be asked to paste messages from that person containing bad mouthing words and attach it on your report.

That's it.. hope this help you mom..
Much appreciated if you rate this help. thanks

Forgot password

Ok ive found out, there are two ways 2 do it 1u just need to take out the battery, and Press the on/off button for 5seconds, the 2nd is more drastic u need to dissasemble all parts and take off the small battery(its even in PCs) and hold iit for ten minutes, then its going to be ok (ive did the second way, because the first way works only on some notebooks)
or

BIOS passwords can be reset in two ways,
1. using software 2. using hardware.

I would first try resetting using software, here are two software's to reset or retieive BIOS passwords.

!BIOS - is a PC BIOS toolkit offering password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore.

CmosPwd - Cmos password recovery tools 4.8

Please let us know if it works.

Removing BIOS Password

If you remove the battery and put it back in than there well be no password. By doing this you are removing the password information from the CMOS. settings.
Here is a link on how to take out the battery on you desktop computer. Just remember to replace it!!!

Removing BIOS Password

Check the specifications on the manufacturer site to determine if there is a jumper on the motherboard to reset the BIOS. If not, simply unplug the BIOS battery on the motherboard and wait for 10 minutes before plugging the battery back in and the BIOS should be reset.

Note that you will need to reconfigure the settings in the BIOS prior to booting the system.
