Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
You will need to reset your router, there is no way to "retrieve it" Once reset the login is set the to factory default.
To reset your router:
Make sure you re-enable encryption on your wireless network (WPA2-PSK), there's no reason to leave your network unsecured.
I hope this helps,

If you forgot your password to your router you can reset it to factory settings and reset to the factory password by pressing the reset button in the back of the router for 30 seconds that would reset the ip address to 192.168.1.1 User name: (LEAVE BLANK)
and Password: admin
Here's some more information on reseting linksys routers
Hope this helps you out

You can use the reset button at the back of the router. Keep in mind that this will also reset any other configuration you have made at the router. The credentials and the ip for the router will come back to the defaults (192.168.1.1, admin, admin or none or 1234)

SOURCE: i forgot my wep key
Instead of retrieving them, there is a much easier way. There is a small reset button on the back of the router you must push with a pen or paper clip. After reseting the router, plug it into your computer and you will have an option to configure. Also, some routers have a button to push to be able connect automatically within a certain amount of time. Retrieving the password involves hacking and some serious skills and programs, so if it is someone else's router you are trying to gain access to, you are looking in the wrong place.
