Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Fn function doesn't work on my Asus EEEPC 1015PN.Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Go to http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
and input 1015PN. I would link you directly, but Asus doesn't allow that.
You'll need to download the Asus live update tool. This will download the proper drivers for the function keys to.. well, function.

My screen says CARD NOT INITIALIZED. I cant get the camera to work.

Well, the error literally tells you to format the card. The format function should be in your settings menu. Before you do this, make sure that you've copied all you want off the card and then use the camera's 'format' function to reformat the card. I advise using the camera for the format function because this guarantees the correct file system. If you use your computer to format it, you may easily get the wrong one. However if you need to do it this way, see which file system is currently in use on the drive before you start. Go to "My Computer" and right click on the drive which is the memory card, and choose "Properties". Examples of filesystems are "FAT" (probably FAT16), "FAT32" and NTFS; to make sure your reformat is successful, ensure you use the same filesystem as before.

If this fails, the other possibility is that you've bought an SDHC card and fitted it to a camera that can only accept SD. In this case
you bought a larger card for your older camera, not noticing that it was SDHC (or not knowing that it mattered). The new card doesn't work, not because it or the camera is broken, but because it's not compatible.

Cards up to 2Gb are generally SD.
Cards of 4Gb are generally SDHC.
Cards over 8Gb have to be SDHC.

(There are exceptions. Sometimes, manufacturers make 4Gb SDHC cards but some have errors; they disable half of the chip and sell it as 2Gb, but it's still SDHC. 4Gb cards are almost always SDHC because they're cheaper, but 4Gb SD cards do exist. They are so rare that I've even seen a guru on this site claim they don't. I did own one once, but it was very expensive and turned out to be so unreliable that I had to return it. I don't recommend looking for one, because of the problems.)

Your solution is to go find a 2Gb card, and be extra sure that it doesn't say "SDHC" on it.

I have a laptop with a web cam included but i cant find the program to take pictures which one can i download for free i have a window 7 eeePC

Please go to the system tray and look for the "EeePC Tray" icon. Right click it to enable the camera.

If no success, go to BIOS (tapping F2 at startup) to see if the webcam is enabled there?

Eeepc 701 won't restart after reinstalling OS. reinstalled original oS software, dis an apt-get update, updates continued for quite a time, then had to reboot. But since then, nothing, eeepc will not even...

you probably have the solid state hard drive (4gb)... its not big enough to hold all the updates .. unfortunately the operating system comes with "auto update" turned on ... it will download updates until the drive is full then will crash .. one way to resolve this is to kill the internet so it cant log on ... you can disconnect or turn off your wifi or if you are fast enough you can use Fn F2 (turns off wifi) .. just watch the wifi light to make sure its off at boot .. there is a lag in response so its a bit tricky ...now once booted you can turn off "auto update" ...then you can turn your wifi or internet back on .. manually update only things you know you have room for .. if your 701 has a CF card slot (like my eeepc 900a . then that can be used as additional hard drive space ... during installation i made that the boot drive (advanced) (of course you cant remove it after that).. the new eeebuntu4 beta is a wonderful upgrade for the system .. but i could only get it working by using thhe CF drive as above.. if you havent already done so you can make a bootable USB jump drive .. you can run Ubuntu off that as well as install from that ...change the boot order in cmos ..to boot first from the Jump dirve ...

Eeepc webcam

Right click to My Computer
Manage
Device manager
In the right panel you will see all the drivers installed
If there is a question mark, or an exclamation mark beside of any of them, the driver is not OK
A question mark means that the driver is not installed at all, and that your machine doesn't know what device is it. Exclamation mark means that the driver has been installed, but that the driver is not good.
Sometimes, there is a red cross over the device - the device is turned off

Cant use 4gb sd card in my camera why?

The D50 works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it will only work with devices specifically designed to accept SDHC cards. The D50 wasn't. It only works with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Card reader can't read 4GB SD card, smaller one's (2GB)he can read

Your card reader probably cant read HC cards. Any of the newer cards 4GB and above is considered HC: High Capacity and only the newer card readers can read that. Same thing goes with older cameras. 2GB would be the max for older cameras that dont support HC and card readers that dont support it.

Small memory

As far as I know, the Eee PC runs off an SD Card, commonly used in Camera's, just go and buy a 16 or 32Gb one off ebay or something :)
