Try this: Remove the ac adapter and battery from the computer. Turn the computer over and remove the bottom panel. Take out the RAM (memory) and put it back in. Replace the panel, and try powering on the laptop w/ the ac adapter/ battery installed. If this does not work, it sounds like you have a bad GPU or display.
