Changing dryer belt on kirkland/whirlpool dryer took apart dryer but dont see where belt suppose to mount.

Hello. The belt goes around the tub and the tension pulley. In fact, it is always a good idea to replace both the belt and the idler/tension pulley at the same time. J.

If you want a schematic go to searsdirect.com and enter your model number. J.

The belt can be replaced as follows.

Element heats, dryer tumbles, no heat in drum, never shuts off

Hi, If the dryer heats but will not advance in either time or auto cycles, you need to change the timer.
You can test to see if the timer is getting voltage. Remove the top rear panel and locate the two wires going to the timer motor. There should be 120V when the dryer is running in time dry.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Whirlpool Electric Dryer LEQ88ooJQ1----I think it's the belt.

you have to pop the top and take the front off to change the belt. there is two clips you can press with a putty knife ,about 3 inches from each side on the front under the top . This will release the top. Now check the belt on the drum. If it is whole the problem is the idler pulley . I can help you and supply the parts you need cheap
