I am using windows my and service provider is talktalk

  • davidandpaul Mar 18, 2011

My wife and I share the computer as differant users for filing seperate documents photos etc and also share the same e-mail address. We are using windows vista home premium and windows mail. I would like all our e-mails to arrive into both our in boxes so that we can each deal with our own mail and delete those that don't concern us. At the present time some go into my box, some into my wifes and some into both.

I recently had to re-boot the computer back to its factory settings because of problems but prior to this all e-mails went into both in boxes and I would like to get back to this same situation

Hi

You have to be in the same server and you are using both account name and password in Microsoft outlook.

You can use it also, when you are at home by setting up a microsoft outlook in your home aside from in your office.

Just run the Microsoft Outlook and configure it to your home. Put the User name and password and the web server domain. and it is finished. Itwill configure and you can receive email from your home instead in the office.

My husband and I share a yahoo email but when we send a message, only his name shows up in receiver's inbox. How can we make both our first names show up in receivers' inboxes?

You can't. The display name comes up because your email address in the recipients Contact list with only the name 'Scott Hutch'. If they change the Contact name to Gail and Scott Hutch, that is what you will see. When there is no Contact, you just see the email address.

Why I can't open my Facebook page I was on it earlier and now I can't get back on my Facebook profile page etc.

Hmm... someone might have hacked your account. Try checking your inbox from the email provider your Facebook account is associated with. For example, if your email address has a domain name of yahoo.com, then log in to Yahoo, check your inbox. Facebook sends you an email right away if your Facebook account was hacked. The email they send informs you that your email address was replaced with a new one. Then it asks you if that is your own doing, you can just ignore it. But since you suspect someone is using your account, then that person might have replaced your email address with his. If that is the case, then there's an option in that email Facebook sent you to 'let them know' or 'secure your account'. Click on it. If you're successful, you should be able to get hold of your account back. And Facebook system will even prompt you to change your password.

Moral of the story? You should not give any of your email addresses to anyone. Not even to family members, relatives or friends. If the computer you're using is also used by other people and there are no separate user accounts for each [meaning everyone can log into that computer as administrator then one safety tip is to NOT save your password in Mozilla Firefox. If you do and another person who is Internet savvy clicked on the browser's Tools menu [Tools>Options>Security>Saved Passwords] when you're away, then that person can hack your account/s. If you're the owner of the computer and you're sharing it with other people, better create a guest account or user accounts for each person who uses your computer, but make sure you're the administrator of your own computer and that each of you has his/her own password when logging on to the computer.

I want a new gmail account

Are you trying to create a second Gmail account to use with an existing Gmail Account?

Let's say you have two big uses for Gmail: one you use with friends and family/for fun and one that you use more professionally. It is definitely possible to read mail and send mail from both within one inbox. Here's how:

(Let's call that more personal account your primary account and that professional one your secondary account)

Create that second account
The first step should be to create the secondary account if you haven't already done so. To create a secondary account, go ahead and sign out of your primary account. Click the "create an account" link and get started.

To receive emails from the second account
Next, in order to see emails sent from your secondary to your primary account, you should set up forwarding. Keep in mind that you can also forward emails from your primary to your secondary account should you want all messages from both emails in both inboxes. To set up forwarding:

1. Click the gear in the top right.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
4. Click Add a forwarding address in the "Forwarding" section.
5. Enter the primary email address
6. For your security, we'll send a verification to that email address.
7. Open your primary email account (signing out of the secondary account), and find the confirmation message from the Gmail team.
8. Click the verification link in that email.
9. Back in your secondary account, refresh the page.
10. Select the Forward a copy of incoming mail to option and make sure your new forwarding address is listed in the first drop-down menu.
11. In the second drop-down menu, choose what you want Gmail to do with your messages in that secondary account, such as keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox or archive Gmail's copy.
12. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Now, you should be able to see emails from both accounts in the same spot.

To send emails from the second account
Last, in order to send out emails from the primary and the secondary account in the same inbox, you should set up the "send mail as" feature. To set up the send mail as feature:
1. Click the gear icon in the top right
2. Select Settings
3. Select the Accounts tab (or Accounts tab, if you're using Google Apps).
4. Under Send mail as, click Add another email address.
5. In the 'Email address' field, enter your name and alternate email address.
6. Choose one of two options:
7. Use Gmail's servers to send your mail (this is easier to set up)
8. Use your other email provider's SMTP servers (we recommend this option for professional mail accounts or domains). Note for Google Apps users: Depending on your domain type, this feature may be disabled by default. Talk to your administrator if you have any questions.

Now, when you're sending an email in your inbox, simply click "from" and choose which email address you'd like to send from.

I would like to share one of my pictures from my phone to someone else with a phone

Tap picture while viewing the picture, there should be options to select to the effect of 'share' most likely at the top of the screen. Tap share and select the other phone you want to sent the picture to, either through their phone number or email address . Other person can view it through their own phone messages or email inbox. All of this is assuming both of your phones have data messaging capabilities and/or internet access. Hope this helped. db479cf4-e054-43a4-8bc9-b21ee85b9bb4.jpegShare symbol

Two facebook accounts with one email acct?

Get another email address.
http://gmail.com
...is free and has 7Gb, so you can leave it alone for ages and it won't fill up with spam.  Or, you could open an account and in the
Settings --> Forwarding and POP/IMAP
...part, set it so that all emails from your new account are autometically sent on to the address you and your wife share.

If you do open an account; make sure you make a note of the email address and the password somewhere, as it's easy to lose passwords for accounts you don't use often.

Then, of course, you open your facebook with your new gmail account email address.  Job done.
