Your computer will take DDR1 memory with support for DDR PC2700, DDR PC3200 speeds. It takes a maximum of 4GBs of memory, but if you have Windows XP 32 bit or lower you can only use 3GBs of memory. Crucial is a pretty good brand but there are many other good brands as well. Most brands have value ram and higher performance ram. You can search for memory on the web and you will find many brands to choose from. You can also go to www.cnet.com and you will find independent reviews of all brands.

Sorry but you cannot interchange ddr1 for ddr2. They are different kinds of RAM, and your chipset (865GV) can only accept ddr1. If you want to use ddr2, or even ddr3 then upgrade to a newer motherboard.

My mother boaard has written ddr1 and ddr2 near the ram slot. Is it pssible to put ddr2 ram? before it had ddr1 ram

It's not because DDR1 ram slot Motherboard are created only for DDR1.
DDR2 are the newest design of memory module by a new MOBO.

There is no Motherboard that are design with two kinds of Memory Slot DDR1 & DDR2.

I never that before.

Can i use ddr2 ram in my pc inplace od ddr1 i cn purchase pc 07?

Hey there, Check for the slots given on your motherboard, whether all the slots are same; However a motherboard can support only one type of module either DDR1 or DDR2. your motherboard has only DDR1 slots. You cannot upgrade DDR1 to DDR2 cause the Memory Module or notches are different than eachother. Gimme Acknowladgement by rating me. Thanx - Romy Decostza

Slow process of pc

First you have to check *********** board settings for the RAM slots. my suggestion is: now DDR1 is available as a few and also expensive than DDR2. DDR2 is the latest avail in the market now.

but, it doesnt matter for you. you just go for 1GB RAM, its better in the future.

you have also check out the mother board, available with DDR1 and DDR2. because some system available with both type of slots.

1GB RAM is good for software and also system admin careers.

thank you.

DDR2 RAM for P5RD1-VM

The ASUS P5RD1-VM takes the PC2700/3200 DDR SDRAM DIMMs. You can upgrade your ASUS P5RD1-VM to up to a maximum of 2.0 GB Memory, the system has 2 sockets to install Memory. For best system performance use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot for your system i.e. 1 GB.

Thanks
