Close all programs and taking the battery out will turn it off.
this will not help you turn it back on though!!!

The Nokia N73 is a pretty old mobile phone for now.
Solution : Firstly check the battery of your phone. Try replacing it with an other battery model BP-6M.
If Problems solves, buy a New Battery(Model: BP-6M).

My mobile (nokia n73) got switched off while i was updating

Sometimes the update will mess up the phone. esp. if the update goes in to effect right away, not after a restart. try connecting the phone up to a computer. you might be able to recover files and then do a complete reset of the phone.

Switched off while updating and not getting switched on

Take out you memory card and sim out of your mobile then turn it on if it does turn on then
the try following these steps they will work..

  1. Make sure your phone is fully charged.
  2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).
  3. Switch off your N73 phone.
    1. Press and hold these three keys together:
    2. The green dial key,
    • The star key (*)
    • The three key (3)
    1. Press the power on/off for 1 minute to switch on the N73 phone. Do not let go of the three keys until you see the “formatting” screen displayed
    2. Wait a few minutes until the format is complete. Your N73 will now be formatted and restored to its original factory settings.
