Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

Nokia E52: after a complete charge using the AC-4U charger, went to disable power-saving mode with a short press of the power button. Pressed it too long and the phone shut down. Now, it won't power up--at least the screen isn't lit. The ******** does come on after one second of power-on button as normal, but no sound or screen display. Plugging a charger in, either through power plug on top or mini-USB on side, changes nothing--stays dark and silent, with only vibrate motor working when power button is held down. Have taken battery and even SIM out for a few minutes, but no change in symptoms. Currently have battery out, hoping to discharge any hold-up cap. Suggestions?

I did get two more BP-4L batteries; they behave the same: plenty of power to spin the v.i.b.r.a.t.e (FixYa blocks the word v i b r a t o r, thinking it is a *** toy) motor over and over in response to the power-on button, but the phone does not show any other signs of life, visual or audible.

The AC-4U charger is the charger that ships with the phone when new. Charging the old or the new batteries with the alternate charging methods Nokia provides--such as the USB port cable--gives the same result: v.i.b.r.a.t.e motor only.

The battery could have gone dead, you should try with a different, charged battery first. If it powers, check that you are using the correct charger from nokia.

Sounds like your battery is shot. If it goes to far past dead, it will not power up even plugged in. Go to a battery store/Best Buy etc. and see if they have one you can use to try. Certain battery types can not go under 25% of a charge or they will not charge again correctly and vice versa. Just a short in the dark but hope that fixes your problem

Problem may be a simle matter of the battery contacts needing to be adjusted so they make better contact for charging and use. Use a needle and ~GENTLY~ raise contact bars on either laptop or battery.

My laptop (hp x9010)is not switching on ,i pressed the reset button but still not responding whats the problem and solution

This could be down to several problems.
Firstly, check that the battery is being charged by the charger and indeed if power is getting to the laptop via the charger. The simplest way is to see if the charger LED light is green. Flashing green indicates that the power is being "spat back".. ie: not completing the circuit and this indicates that the charging circuit on the board may be damaged.

Secondly, is the charger plug tight in the port? A loose plug will not make enough contact (if it is try wiggling it and see if that helps. If it IS loose and works whan wiggling, you will need to get it replaced.

Thrirdly, try removing the battery and AC power, press the on button for 30 seconds, reconnect the Ac adaptor only and see if it then powers up

failing that, it would seem that the main fuse on the motherboard has bloen and you need it replacing

Nokia E52 it's not charging! everytime I plug it in, instead of the "charging screen", it says "not charging", and then "unplug charger to save power" or something along...

This often happens when your battery is not having perfect contact with the terminals and as a result, it prevents the power from your power outlet ot easily flow into the battery and charge it.
The easiest way toi tackle this problem is to follow the following instructions.
1.switch off your phone and remove the battery,
2.Use a dry lintless cloth to clean the battery terminals and the points of the battery that comes in contact with the terminals on the phone.
3.replace all parts and try again.
if this doesn't solve your problem, then your battery could be completely dead and needs replacement but contact a technician first.

If you use a car charger, use a wall plug instead and replace the battery; because a lot of car chargers can harm battery life…especially if that is all you’ve ever used. Also check the settings on the phone, if you have disabled power saving features that dim the screen after so many seconds then the back light will drain the battery very quickly. Use name brand batteries and not the ones that come with the phone, Sometimes the ones that come with the phone can ****. Finally, make sure that you do not have a short in your wall charger and that the first time you use a new battery you charge it fully to begin with and don’t charge it again until it is completely depleted. Supposedly newer batteries do not have to be primed, but I find it is a good practice anyway. Use the charger that came with your phone, the voltage/amps are not always just right if using a radio shack special.
