Not that I see by looking at the breakdown for this tool. They don't offer an owners manual for the different types online. If the belt is that loose you might want to take a look at the drive pulleys. Let me know if you need more assistance.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

the remove the belt.
put new belt back just like the old one came off
adjust the tensioner to spec, (depends on engine there)

there are these engines used.

Models in North America got a larger and more powerful 2.0 L engine with 145 hp (108 kW).
is your car in USA and with 2.0L:?

the tensioner is

the 2.0L is 2 steps (quoted from FSM)
  1. Loosen tensioner by turning the tensioner pulley clockwise.
  2. While holding the tensioner, install belt.
there you go spoon fed, no asking to read the FSM.
hint2, the bolts are metric.

How to change peugeot 306 2005 diesel timing belt

first is what engine is there.
in fact that is the first step on all cars.
1st !
Diesel engines:
1.9L 8V 71 PS (52 kW; 70 hp) I4
1.9L 8V 90 PS (66 kW; 89 hp) Turbocharged I4
1.9L 8V 92 PS (68 kW; 91 hp) Turbocharged I4

the XUD9 engine by PSA.
The XUD9 was available with either SOHC 8-valve or 12-valve heads.

once I identified, the engine
i googled, PSA XUD9 timing belt.
and 1st hit its there.
wrong car, but right engine,
and covers the belt.

Myopelmariva has a car symbol with the spanner across and it cuts off at 3000 rpm

which engine, most cars have many engines choices.
if the ECU/PCM sets the CAM sensor (CMP) that can be 2 things
loose cam belt, or loose chain, some have belt some have chain.
if the belt is loose, the cam bounces, and the CMP sees that and gets confused, or the sensor is bad. (or just dirty clean it)
RPM limit can be stuck in limphome mode, or lean fuel
or too rich misfire, i see you mech is not so good, here state side any ASE mech would find it fast. (scan tool PIDS)

so enigne which is it. never post engine question to any one, unless you can state the engine, name and number.
let me give and example.
Petrol
  • 1.4 TWINPORT, with 90 PS (66 kW; 89 hp) (from 2005)
  • 1.6 (8v), with 85 PS (63 kW; 84 hp)
  • 1.6 (16v), with 100 PS (74 kW; 99 hp)
  • 1.8, with 125 PS (92 kW; 123 hp)
Both 1.4 and 1.8 are available as flexfuel in Brazil.
Diesel
  • 1.7 CDTI, with 100 PS (74 kW; 99 hp)
Petrol
  • 1.4 TWINPORT, with 90 PS (66 kW; 89 hp)
  • 1.6 TWINPORT 105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp)
  • 1.8, with 125 PS (92 kW; 123 hp)
  • 1.6 Turbo, with 180 PS (132 kW; 178 hp) (OPC/VXR model only)
Diesel
  • 1.3 CDTI, with 75 PS (55 kW; 74 hp)
  • 1.7 CDTI, with 100 PS (74 kW; 99 hp)

it is near impossible to fix any engine not know which one it is.
and 10x on line. we are blind here, but not your mech.
i looks and goes, ahh, z16XSE or...

but your mech, fire him, find a real one and one that has a scan tool., knows how to read live data and how to check the belt for loose or slipped. or just a dirty cmp.
btw those errors mean the CMP is reading wrong. only why is in question, it is reading wrong. for sure.
the CMP can trip for 1 pulse in 10 bad. its a very sensitive test.
with VTT engines more parts to mess cam locations or jog.
variable valve timing, that.

post back your engine. on our cars the VIN tells this tale.
on non usa cars the fire wall chassis tag has engine type clearly stated. read it.

Serpentine belt replacement

the cars have more than one engine,
the first job to working on any car, (engine) is to know what is there.
or bad happens. (bad to engine, and buying wrong parts)
i bop over to wiki and...
2.6L 120 hp (89 kW) I4
3.2L 175 hp (130 kW) V6
so which is it?
as you can see and I4 is not a v6, not even in the least same.
i will throw dice, car is USA car, and most cars in USA have too big enigne, and is V6.
so the answer is.
INSTALLING, does that mean you have it removed already or it fell off?
just clue. id hate to print the whole process stated in the FSM.
here are some quotes for you.
Belt tension is maintained by an automatic tensioner. No adjustments are necessary or possible.
there are only 2 systems. auto tension and manual.
we discover that first by just a glance a at the serp, and its friends.
see idlers, see adjustable idlers, that is they move to side when
flexed, bingo , auto tension. if no springs, they are MANUAL.

in this engine, (1)
facing engine, see the crank pulley, and see that tensionor
on the 11pm posision of the crank pulley. that is a spring adjuster

now the text.
Use a wrench to rotate the drive belt tensioner, as shown in the accompanying figure, to remove drive belt.

easy huh, just then the tensioner to loose and bingo ,it is.
and this step 2

Remove any necessary engine covers that are blocking access to the drive belt.
all this was at alldata.com . log in and look.... under access. belts.

before working on any car, engines. in the USA (where you?)
open hood, look up see that vacuum and smog tag there
and it tells you what engine you have,
than ask questions based on that.

the USA forenza uses the
The US model line features the 2.0 L 4-cylinder E-TEC II made by General Motors, developing a maximum power of 132 horsepower at 5600 rpm.

  6. Rotate the crankshaft two full turns clockwise using the crankshaft pulley bolt.
