I have the DE400P , It has the same flaw,,,I thought it was a "check valve though as I could not find the part on their schematics. It is exactly as described with the zip ties. I cleaned it 3 monthes ago and I wanted to replace it. Does anyone know what the part is called or even better ,,,where I could order one? thanks so much,,,,I have been going crazy with this one.

Note: This solution is not for those who are in any way uncomfortable with household repairs such as replacing light switches, plugs, & bathroom plumbing. To clarify . the front air filter and back exhaust panels have 5 screws each to remove. There is a sensor switch behind the front panel which falls away & relocation is unclear. Then 2 more screws at base of control panel side. Be careful not to break overlapping plastic interlocks on the clamshell halves. ther is another screw holding the 2 side halves together in back

Then pull gently to see & remove 2 more screws on top. Tilt toward non control side to gently water will spill. then remove control side toward back. dont pull wires. The Cup in the back will be filled with dirt and algae. It would be a big job to take it out due to More screws and tubing ..

The filter under the cup is held in place with nylon ties which would have to be cut & replaced.. This is a design disaster. They clearly don't intend this to be cleaned. reassembly is not simple.

If you actually get this done, I suggest that you flush the system with an algae cleeaner in the future and only remove the front panel. If you don't want to do all this, try flushing it by pouring fluid behind front panel. remember, you can just abandon the pump & connect other tubing to the removalble reservoir for gravity drainage as described in the owners manual. You have to drill a simple hole in the plastic. best of luck.

I only got as far as disconnecting the filter between the small water bucket and the pump. I was able to get the pump working again after I cleaned the water bucket and filter by flushing them repeatedly with fresh water. The lines after the pump contained cloudy water, but I figured since the pump was able to push it out past the pump already, it shouldn't cause problems this far down. It saved a lot of time and hard work not having to disconnet the rest of the tubing or take the water bucket off. I also realized if I disconnet the first water collection tubing from just under the front panel and point the open end down, all the water in the bucket flows out. This part is so easy to get to. Just pull out the big collection tank and it's right there on the left toward the back. I can do this every week! Maybe then nothing will sit long enough in the small water bucket to turn into any kind of filter-clogging material.

You must remove the air filter and exhaust panels then the control panel half of the housing to access the filter. Clean (soak if necessary) or replace the filter then the lines and even the water tub as well as you can. We do this about every 3-6 months.

Why does my dehumidifier pump water on to floor

Pump is defective. Is your pump light going on and off???If it is it means the pump is defective.I fiddled around with mine for a day and finally realized the pump is the culprit. So i stopped using the pump, which you can switch off on the panel...where it says pump. Finally I just drilled a hole into the continuously draining hole at the tank and put a tube into it and the problem got solved

My DeLonghi DD50PSC dehumidifies but the pump never comes on. Everything is ocnnected to the continuous draiining using the pump. Suggestions?

A blocked drain tube was the cause of the pump not working issue with this dehumidifier. I removed the back cover (5 screws on back, 1 screw on each side) and cleaned out the accumulated gunk in the small, clear reservoir on the back right. It took a little time using compressed air and pipe cleaners, but the effort ultimately worked.

I have Delonghi DE500P dehumidifier was running but doesn't pump water. how can i fix it.

First, make sure the humidistat isn't set too high by adjusting it to the lowest humidity setting and running it again. Next, test the dehumidifier by placing it in a closed bathroom with a hot shower running. If you don't see water collecting in the unit after several minutes, turn the unit off and clean all dehumidifier filters and coils. If, after adjusting the settings and cleaning the unit, you still don't see water collecting, you may have a refrigeration issue. This situation will have to be addressed by a qualified technician.

Good luck

Need a part

This appliance has 3-ft drainage hose and a 16-ft pump hose. I searched for a store that carry these hose, unfortunately, none of them sell a part or accessory for the DE500P.

Kindly click this link and verify if they could sell a hose:

Good luck.
