Question about Kenmore 16602 / 16604 / 16609 Built-in Dishwasher
I have a Kenmore Dishwasher 665-16769000. We have replaced the circuit board 3 months ago and last night replace the touch pad. Since it had been sitting for 2 weeks I ran it empty. Today the dishwas will not start - - no lights nothing. Can you tell me what is the problem this time?
The water may not be hot enough. Increase the temperature of the incoming hot water or try this: put the tab in the open soap cup so it will start to dissolve during the pre-wash. Then it will finish dissolving during the main wash. If the dishes get clean using this method you may not have to increase the water temp.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose-filter assembly or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter located inside the front bottom panel for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. Take off the bottom access panel to clean the drain pump filter and hose. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
