It was working - printing a document, the power to it stopped no lights. I changed leads and fuses in the plugs, tried another power outlet. I have no power to the machine at all. Therefore I am unable to turn it on.

This may sound odd but can also be the problem. Since you replaced and diagnosed the outlet, power leads, fuse. Have you replaced the power cord? Yes they can actually go bad.

Also, the rest of the trouble shooting would require dismantling the unit again to inspect the board for blown, bumped or burnt capacitors.

? your saying the printer is fine but it stopped working in general? does it turn on and power up? if so have you tried reinstalling the drivers? there is also a test print page you can try to print out.

Hi,
Make sure that you've replaced it with same current(ampere) and voltage ratings to avoid further damage in the future. Fuse, sometimes failed due to voltage surge, aging or the unit gone to maximum current usage. Low quality fuse is also to consider for this kind of symptoms.

Will not print, says Error 5200

Try this: Press the resume button (or cancel).

If not, unplug the unit and plug it back in.

Or, try this: Open the lid so the printer moves the head to the center position and unplug the power cord. Remove the ink and head. Plug the machine back in and let it go through it's startup routine. When it's done, open the lid and reinstall the head/ink cartridges.

If this does not work, you may have a bad printhead. Printheads for Canons cost anywhere from $50 to over $100 depending on where you get them and what model the printer is.

WARNING If, during your testing, the machine suddenly dies completely (no power at all) do not purchase a new print head. Some Canon models have a bad type of failure where the printhead goes bad and shorts, which draws too much current from the main board causing the main board to blow. If you replace the printhead in a machine with a bad main board caused by this failure you will just blow the new printhead. Remember this only applies if your machine suddenly dies completely (no power at all).

I have model # SH9210PL. All of a sudden, when plugged in, it does not work. No lights come on at all and no shredding. Because the motor etc. is all incased I don't know how to fix it. I have tried...

Shredders are such simple machines that there is very little that can go wrong with them, You do not seem to be getting power to the machine - check the plug and lead, there might be a broken connection there.

The machine suddenly died. Is there a fuse or ...? The LED panel was printing info that seemed unrelated to printer status and within a few seconds of that, the machine died. When I pushed the power...

I have a dead MP780 also. I opened up the left side panel, and it looks like there is a fuse on the circuit board. I will test it tomorrow. The fuse cannot be replaced, however, without removing the soldered component from the board.

2007 Yamaha Rhino 660 dies and pops the 30amp fuse on Relay

I would carefully go over your wiring, especially any you may have disconnected during the head gasket swap, and check for a loose ground first.

If all your connections are good, then take a voltmeter to your battery, see what it's putting out. (If you can load test it, even better). Sometimes, when a battery get's messed up, it'll start overloading and put out too much power, and burn up fuses/wires.
