I cannot switch to my projector with this notebook. I held down the Fn key and then I pressed F5. What else am I suppose to do

what kind of projector are you using? what color are the ends of the cable you are connecting your projector to the laptop with? if your using the Blue ends, be sure your projector is on, and is running on the VGA input. Most projectors do not auto detect input and must be set manually prior to the FN + F5 key combination. White connector ends are called DVI or Digital input on the projector.

Why the projector is keep searching

Hi

Is the projector directly connected to the computer? The setting on the projector might be set to auto detect source, could be one reason why when you boot your computer up its detecting for a source where it is attach to. You can set that to manual and by the way change the cable since it seems that the device is unable to detect any source.

Hope this helps

Projector will not detect a Dell computer

Computers do not generally send an RGB signal, you should be connected via a VGA cable between the projector and the computer. The input menu on the projector should be set to VGA. The output of the computer should be equal or lower to the maximum resolution of the projector.
