The filters are located on the isnside unit in the front. Sometimes there may be a screw or two to undo, but usually not. The front vented looking part will lift up, or you can pull the filter out from the top of it. It depends on the model, but that is the two ways to get to them...once out, a mild soap or rinse with plain water will clean them. If they have pet hair or very thick build up, you may use a soft brush on them. Let dry and slide filters back in. Hope this helps.

How do you clean home duct work?

Just so you know, The Return duct ( the large vent toward the middle of the home, and sometimes there is more than one
), is where all the dust travels to.
The filter at this point needs to be changed monthly based on it ability to grab particles from that air coming into it. A very tight weave filter will trap more dust but it will also choke off the air to the system too. Usually once a month replace the filter, some go a little longer. Dont get the electrostatic type, waste of money.
One main thing that hampers a HVAC system is not enough air flow. If all of your interior doors are closed air does not return to the inlet very well starveing the sytem for air. If the filter is clogged not enough air flow. This duct area is where it could be cleaned if it really needs it. They make long poles or a flexible shaft with a stiff bristle on the end that will sweep the dust but then you would need to vacume that dust. Tough to do yourself, expensive to have others do it and Again it really doesnt need to be cleaned. Good Luck

DeLonghi PAC L90

I would venture that your unit requires cleaning of the filters or at worst it may be a fan motor. Initially, try removing the front panel holding the filters and clean it as instructed in the user's manual. Should this not be corrective, i would suggest to seek the services of a qualified professional

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How do I clean the permanent filter in my weather king?

Either throw it in the bathtub and wash it out with soapy water or just spray soap on it and rinse with a hose outside...

dry it and then reinstall it...

Hi, we have a wa-903 air conditioner, which I think is by Kenmore, but we have no instruction manual. It doesn't seem to get as cool as it should, can anybody help with basic operating instructions please?

This machine needs to be vented to the outside of the building. There is an air exhause port at the back of the unit to which you attach the exhaust piping. Also try cleaning the filters. these are pullout filters at the top of the back plate of the unit.
Hope this helps

Air not coming thru ducts

Very possible the long bladed fan is stuck. Possibly when filters were cleaned and replaced, a part is touching the blade. Remov filters and turn blade by hand. Does it move freely.(make sure unit is off when turning the blade.

I have an E1 error code

E1 means Automatic filter clean reminder. Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it. Kindly make sure that the air conditioner is unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset, then clean the filter. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

How to clean the filter

Hi Kat,

You'll want to do more than just clena the filter; in fact, if you're about to the filter, do a little more than just that. Look, here's an article about how to remedy a hot-blowing AC, but the underlying fix is actually a good maintenance tip of periodic cleaning that you can do now as a proactive measure:

The linked handyman article above tells you abot other cleaning measures in addition to the filter.

Cleaning electronic air filter

What brand and model is the air cleaner?
Often you can find the mfg. website and download the .pdf file of the manuals.

The air cleaner will be located on the return air duct of the furnace and should have a nameplate and a model# somewhere.

Some use disposable filters and some need to be cleaned with dish detergent and can be very fragile. Hope this helps.
