Seems that your mobile phone is lock on the specific network provider only. You have to unlock it or debrand to use other sim onto your mobile.

Unregistered usually means the sim card is not
registered with the carrier. Just reinsert it
or try a different sim

I have come across this before (in South Africa) and the sim had in fact been 'deleted' either due to lack of use or somesuch. In this case the sim had to be replaced.

Whenever SIM is inserted in Handset it shows "UNRegistered SIM" & that SIM works on all other Mobiles.


is it an unlocked phone? The "Unregistered SIM" message means that you're using a SIM card for which this phone is not intended. You will need to have the phone unlocked and it should work.

If it is a new fone then Phones are not shipped activated. You should look in the box for activation instructions. Read and follow them.
is that a prepaid sim then probably the sim has been deactivated...

it could be a old sim that has been unregistered or the phone could be repoted lost or stolen but try a active sim 1st

THE PHONES ARE SOMETIMES PROPERITIESED ON WHICH NETWORK BUT IF YOUR SCREEN SAYS UNREGISTERED SIM IT MEANS YOUR CHIP IS USUALLY NOT COMPATABLE OR IT IS NO LONGER VALID

you seem card does not seem to be active that is the only way you will get that prompt of unregistered sim.

So contact your mobile provider and query your card

unregistered sim card? if thats the prob. maybe som1 else is using ur phone # like a replacement sim. if not check the network frequency
