SOURCE: rattling noises and blowing water (goldstar WG5005R)

If the unit is new and tilted enough toward the outside, the rain should not be a factor as far as water blowing out. It will make some rattling noises on the outside more so when its raining or high humidity because the outside fan throws water onto the condenser coil. Sounds like to me that its not draining to the outside.. It shouldn't be dirty enough for the drain paths to be filled with crud. Tilting it more to the outside should fix it. Hope this helps. kstfas

Unit makes a loud rattling noise when operating

Hello, most likely the fan blade is either loose or cracked at the hub causing the blade to hit the fan shroud. You will either have tighten the fan blade or have to get a replacement.

My window air conditioner is making very loud noises and it is not dripping water outside

No condensation means no freon flow in condensor which sounds like bad compressor which would account for the noise. Replacement would probably be most economical way to remedy.

Weird Smell after ac shut down and fan runs alone

if it's weird like musty then clean the machine, coil, new filter or clean the washable filter and make sure it's draining well but if its weird as in burning wires have the machine checked before you use it again.

Loud rattleing sound

If this AC is a thru walled, since it is new it is better to inquire to the people where you buy this unit, for this type of problem. They must have some authorized repair man/shop or, use its product warranty.

The problem could be also uneven placement of its base. This could maybe hitting the fan guard, some loose connection or some foreign object left that's hitting something inside.

When I turn on or off the house ac makes a rattle noise

To prevent any problems with your A/C it would be a good idea to make it run at least a few times during the winter(or once a month is better).
See if the rattling goes away after some use. The lubricant will start flowing again( protect the compressor).
Otherwise, the mountings could be loose(would need tightening)
Also service the a/c. clean the fins outside and make sure air flows through them.
last, service the freon
