SOURCE: rattling noises and blowing water (goldstar WG5005R)

If the unit is new and tilted enough toward the outside, the rain should not be a factor as far as water blowing out. It will make some rattling noises on the outside more so when its raining or high humidity because the outside fan throws water onto the condenser coil. Sounds like to me that its not draining to the outside.. It shouldn't be dirty enough for the drain paths to be filled with crud. Tilting it more to the outside should fix it. Hope this helps. kstfas

What could be the 'Metal-on-metal' noise coming from the motor of a BMW 2010 R1200 GS motorcycle, when it is started from cold.-Part 2 of original question.

Hi, Michael assuming you meant minus 20 c after sitting for a week you hear a one time metal on metal abnormal noise for a few seconds is something you document with all the pertinent details and move on, if it happens again document that incident and compare the two, if it happens a third time take your bike and documentation to your local dealer for analyses. My advice is to switch to a synthetic oil Mobil 1 or Amsoil if you are currently using a nonsynthetic. Why is my refrigeror freezer making a chirping sound?

Check your manual that came with the refrig. Many 'fridges now will make a soft sound, sometimes even a "moan", when the automatic de-icer starts working. Usually it's normal. HOWEVER, if you hear a real loud, shrill, or weird sound of some kind that is different.

Struts noise?

I would tend to believe it's more likely a worn sway bar bushing or link if it's a rattle or a small clunk, if it's a loud clunk probably a strut, try bouncing he back of the car when parked, if you get the clunk probably a strut if only when driving, turning, braking probably just a bushing on the sway bar

My 2001 bmw 325 cic started making an awful grinding noise today when moving the steering wheel at all to the left or right. Can also hear the noise under the hood.

It sounds like your car is low on power steering fluid. When the power steering fluid is low, the power steering pump is running dry, which makes a grinding or moaning sound. Check the power steering fluid level and top up if necessary. It should be on the left side of the engine compartment. Your owners manual should have the exact location of the power steering reservoir, and what type of power steering fluid to use.
Good luck

Rattling, crackling type noise just started and is constant when microwave is running.

A couple of months ago my microwave started making crackling, rattling and grinding sounds everytime i used it and i thought it was going to break down. It turned out one of my children must have spillled or overflowed something with a clear liquid because the micro did not look dirty but there was a crunchy substance under the wheels of the turntable. Once i cleaned this up totally the noises all went away.

Hyundai Balance Shaft Bearing making noise?

Possible. It's hard to give you an accurate cause, since I'm not able
to hear the sound. Most of the time, when you hear a slight wrapping
sound, it's a rod bearing,or crank bearing. When the rod bearing goes,
you'll know it,since it will knock like an SOB.

Lifters rattle when you first crank it up for about 5 mins until warm, Shouldi replace the lifteror wouldbe wasting my money to do so,.It runs great an use no oil 3800 -v-6 in a 2001 camaro, what...

Are you sure that the noise is a rattle? lifters make a ticking noise, pistons, piston pins and bearing rattle, lifter tick goes away in seconds, piston and bearing related noises take longer, and in the case of rod bearing not at all, it sounds like you may have piston noise, and in that case I would not worry about it, I would run a few cans of combustion chamber cleaner with you next 2 fill ups, carbon build up on the the # 1 piston ring land can cause the piston to "rock" in the cylinder and make a rattle type noise. I have a 1996 Corvette that has a rattle, it is a piston, GM checked it and told me not to worry about it, of course that advice cost $50.00. Also this type of noise is common to the later production 3.8L V6. Hope this sets your fears of a large repair bill to rest, just drive it, but make sure you use the correct oil and change it when recommended.
