I have a samsung 55 in tantus digital TV that is in protection mode and I want to know if there is a way to reset it so I can turn the tv on again

It is one of these you will have to input every one until one of them turns the TV on and off.

Samsung Tantus used TV says Check Fan # 2 ? and will Not respond to any commands Nor show anything but Blue back ground and Flashing FAN warning ?

You need to reset the tv to factory mode by pressing a code with the tv off,,,, mute--182--power and wait to see the menu appears on screen chose *reset to factory* press ok and wait until process done, them turn it on .

Solved the problem the same way suggested above, strange how samsung know about the problem but yet still allow the user to change the firmware.

A master re-set for this model incase it's of use to anyone is info, then menu, then mute then power on the remote in series (not simultaneously as suggested by samsung support).

On a better note, samsung support were very helpful and the free of charge collection delivery service is very good.

CHECK YOUR RED ,GREEN AND BLUE CRT'S THERE MAY BE A SMALL CRACK ON THEM.MAKE SURE TO TAKE THE YOKE OFF AND INSPECT THE ENTIRE TUBE IF THER IS A CRACK IT IS CAUSING YOUR TV TO GO INTO SAFE MODE. ALSO CHECK THAT NONE OF THE COOLING FLUID HAS DRAINED OUT OF THE TUBES ON TO THE CRT BOARDS IF SO REPLACE THE BOARDS AND CRT IF CRACKED. YOU CAN FIND ALL THE PARTS AT PARTSTORE.COM HOPE THIS HELPS.
