Question about Samsung Televison & Video
Protection mode generally means that there's a short circuit somewhere in the TV and it's in this mode to protect you from fire.
If you'd like the TV repaired, you should contact a local TV repair shop and obtain an estimate. I don't recommend opening the TV up by yourself to correct the short.
